Popcorn, Honey, and Bazaar Adventures

It was a shopping day and bag hunt for me, a hunt for a new bad and it seems i got a hard time to pick up a new bag, a perfect bag for me, i call my bag the Utility bag or TEchie bag, which i put my CD Discman, Digital Camera, Shades, notebooks and etc. I searched it everywhere in the far reaches of the malls and bazaars and here my adventure starts.

Hunt 1 - Sta. Lucia Mall
i went there last monday, i think and i met some girl who bought Lace's Jrocker tshirt designs, which is now the best buy gift for xmas, after that I decided to begin my hunt there to buy myself a new bag for the coming 2005.

The bag sold there is fine, I really like that Samsonite body bag but my budget is not fit for the bag, and also I saw the Jansport body bag which i want it, but i decided to buy the cheapest bag coz i want to save money for January events.

Hunt 2 - Megamall
after my film marathon at home with Lace, I went to Megamall to check out the latest stuff of bag sold there, also same set of bags i saw, Samsonite and Jansport, but i saw a perfect bag with the brand Hawk Gear, but the problem of the body bag is that its color is too gayish and for girls, the shop attendant said that the color black is no longer available - poor me.

after that i went to dinner in KFC grabbing the biggest chicken and it will be my last full meal for the year 2004, eating and enjoying in KFC

Hunt 3 - Divisoria

its like a battle zone in Divisoria, its very crowded and too many items to choose and buy, I decided to stay away from the toy stores coz it got me distracted and almost bought that action figure. The bad sold there looks cool, but i dont want it coz its too common, i dont like to wear stuff that everyone already have it, i want it to be unique.

I was with my sister and her barkada, during the Divisoria shopping and lots of cool stuff they bought..all in F4 aahahaha

after that i went to Glorietta to watch Enteng Kabisote the movie, I watched the movie coz i got free tickets to movie...sayang naman kung di ko ito gamitin kasi dec 31 anf expiration nya.

Hunt 4 - Glorietta
after the movie, i ended up in Glorietta Mall and surf all the kinds of shop to look for that bag, and I saw a Lacoste body bag.but i didnt get the price and it already understood what will be the price of that bag...and then...while going home... i went inside "Human" shop, and whooollaaaa... i found my perfect bag...which is fit for me. not too small, not too big, and its the same size as my gray body bag (w/c is my fave bag that my daddy owns).

I decided to not let go of the bag, After checking it and then paid it to the cashier...

Prelude Hunt - Riverbank Marikina

I went here to buy a DVD for our film marthon with Lace on the next day and i decided to check out the bags and er...toys...almost bought that Ultraman stuff toy priced tag P100 only, but my mission is buy a movie for our home date...and got a winning grab of Dvd video of Chasing Amy and Supersize me. and felt guilty and sinned myself for buying a pirated item...but its okay...its for our xmas date...at home.

Az and Lace film marathon - Chasing Amy, I-Robot
thanks honey for the Incubus:Morning View CD Album

wahuhhuuhh...these are my cousins who celebrated Xmas in Sacramento, California,,....huuhuh..me and my sister and 1 cousin are left behind here ..and maybe soon we will join them on the next xmas.

Leg cramps and Chocolate Cake

im back here in Manila, fresh from our family gathering in Lucban, Quezon, and I almost cursed myself for not eating coz there are lot of foods and drinks at the party, it was 5 hour long drive from home going there,.but the fun never stops as I equip my self a digital camera taking some photos, feeling again like a tourist and listening to my discman, music booze of Brit Rock, indie rock, Kitchie Nadal, Linkin Parkm, classic music from the X-files, and damn.i forgot my Jrock and jpop audio Cds.

eeheeh..ang laki ng puto!

now im back home..after the 2 day stay in our province...now im suffer a massive involuntary muscle pain in my leg, coz of the long trip and now..im enjoying eating Chocolate Cake and chatting my girlfriend..wohooh.. (what a day!)

Boycott the Manila Film Fest

Film makers and some serious film people are like pissed off on the exhibiton of movies this Metro Manila Film Festival, well...they have good points and reason why they should boycott it, as they say the film industry here is already dead.

here's the article posted in kamiasroad.com and i just want to share this....

Note: If you agree and choose to participate in the
boycott, email your name to: petitionmmff@gmail.com.

WHY I WON'T WATCH ANY FILMS IN THE METRO MANILA FILM
FESTIVAL

It has long been said that Philippine Cinema is on its
death-bed. This statement is incorrect. The
Philippine film industry, not Cinema as a whole, is;
and rightly so. Hundreds of millions of pesos are
wasted by the Film Industry investing in works that
can not hold a candle to smaller, independent
productions, both long (Lav Diaz's towering
achievements: the 5-hour "Batang West Side" and the
11-hour "Ebolusyon ng Isang Pamilyang Pilipino," which
has screened in New York and Toronto, and will also be
travelling to Rotterdam and Goteborg) and short
(Sherad Anthony Sanchez's 11-minute "Apple," a
powerful moving, elegy on the loss of youth and
innocence through child-prostitution, premiering in
Rotterdam this January, alongside "Ebolusyon" and
works by Khavn Dela Cruz and Rox Lee) that are
invested with passion and made with purpose.

Earlier this year I wrote I an article about the Metro
Manila Film Festival for Indiefilipino.com
(http://film.indiefilipino.com/item.php?id=118),
lamenting not just the lack of desire to show quality
films, but also the ridiculous selection process of
the "festival". Said article can be read at the end of
this email.

This year's festival is an even bigger mockery than
the last, with 4 of the 8 participating films being
produced or co-produced by Regal Films head Mother
Lily and 3 films being directed by Joel Lamangan.

How is that for pushing for a progressive diverse
cinema?

The Philippine Film Industry is on its death-bed...the
Metro Manila Film Festival is holding the last nail to
seal its coffin. The audience holds the hammer.

If you want to see the best of what Philippine Cinema
has to offer, if you want stand up for the choice of
better movies, better values, and a better cinema, do
not watch any of the films in the Metro Manila Film
Festival. I certainly won't.

REINVIGORATING PHILIPPINE CINEMA:
The Possibilities of the Metro Manila Film Festival
by Alexis Tioseco

Alexis Tioseco writes about the inanity that is the
Metro Manila Film Festival, and suggests ways in which
to improve the farce.

Audiences and industry folk alike have long been
preaching the death of Philippine cinema. We gaze back
fondly through sepia shades and smile at the glory of
our past, shake and scratch our heads lamenting over
our pathetic present, and blink and miss opportunities
to improve our future.

The Metro Manila Film Festival is a great idea to
support the local film industry. It reserves the time
of year when most people are able to enjoy days of
leisure, and allows only locally-produced films to be
shown in commercial theaters. At the same time, it
stages a "film festival," a term that carries with it
the connotation of presenting films of a
higher-than-normal quality, and supposedly highlights
our best works, bestowing them with awards and
showcasing them: allowing the films to humor, move,
teach, challenge, identify with and unite the country
in a celebration of art and the best of what the
Filipino is capable of.

The Metro Manila Film Festival is a great idea to
support the local film industry.

Unfortunately, it is only an idea.

Artists' Den Xmas Meet Starbucks Style
It was a xmas fun night for us at the Artists' Den, i got the idea for having a meet day before xmas, and have an exchange gift for all members who will attend, just for fun, - gifts should be something funny and useful.

I arrived one hour late at the meet and i saw them already having fun, and its the time for us to have a short discussion on the next gig of our group. Syeri, Jon, Melch, Erwin, Ariel, Stanley, Mark and RG was there to jam the whole evening, clowning around and the spirit of Artists' Den is alive and kicking.

During our exchange gift, Ariel pick his own name, and it was pretty cheating ahahahaha...coz Ariel really like his gift (a puppy coin bank from Humor Post), but he didnt got away coz RG and Mark arrived that evening late and the 3 of them exchanged their gifts.

it was pure fun and its the 1st ever xmas meet of Artists' Den for this new batch 2003-2004. and other members who are absent can get their chance for another exchange gift after New Year.

Everyone is happy on the gifts they receive, and me..so happy to get this Candy dispenser which you can play with before you eat the candy.ahhaahhaa

During the Xmas meet, RG showed to us some video clips of his latest download -

it was the trailer of RAGNAROK 2, a new version fully 3D MMORPG game to be released in year 2006.

Trailer of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, in full versions and with english subtitles. really good movie, but it will be only released on the new console Pocket Playstation.

some clips of Dead or Alive: Ultimate and Final Fantasy XII.

then after xmas meet, me, RG and Mark, last tambay night for a short pre-noche buena style in 711, we dine in for the last time and talk about the Friendster thing.

Grocery Adventures

Me and my honey Lace Xmas day out in SM Bacoor and it was fun again to be together yesterday and we are both happy that we got a chance to watch Wong Kar Wai's film "2046", and then after the movie coz that time it was so early, only less than 10 people who are watching the movie at that time.

It was fun Christmas day out for the two of us, and we miss each other coz its vacation time. and the only way to see her is that I have to go to Bacoor, Cavite and meet her.

Bacoor is big, well I haven't map yet the whole area but its pretty fast to commute going there, and I like it there coz its fast, less traffic and my love lives there....

This is the only thing I do every vacation, maybe I have to stop my work in organizing events and some stuff and stay relax and enjoy the Xmas season. and im glad that i can feel the xmas spirit, coz Lace is with me...and we found a way on how to be together during the countdown to Dec 25.

thanks again honey for the cookies, this is the first food you cooked for me and i like it! wow...i cant forget this cookie of yours..may free joke cookie pa! one cookie with a weird taste...kinda salty but mentholish in the inside..er...its like theres a toothpaste on that joke cookie hahaahhaha.....thanks my love...

SM Bacoor is not that big and its like SM Centerpoint, but Lace didnt like there coz she said the place is small and not that complete, but the grocery area is bigger, but she said that some people in Cavite still do their groceries in Megamall.

look at the pic..Lace in search of that Sour n' Cream stuff for her salad.

It was fun being with her in the grocery coz its my first time going in a grocery with a girl (well except for my Mom and sis). and we call it our Grocery Adventures

"On the 2nd day of Xmas my true love sent to me, a trip to SM Cavite and 2046 movie"

ahhhaaha...weird smile at the counter of Mcdonalds in Greenbelt
i was with RG and Mark after our meeting/office work in Malate for the G2 Games and Gadget Show. we took a quick dinner snack and then we watched RG's collection of Morning Musume clips in his laptop just to ease our soul coz of the hard time of work.

2046 takes

2046's story picks up right by the end of In The Mood For Love: after Su Lizhen (Maggie Cheung) leaves, Zhou Muyun (Leung Chiu-Wai) becomes a very lonely writer. He meets a prostitute (Zhang Ziyi) and spends a night with her at room 2046, the very same room he had an affair with Su Lizhen. Then he starts writing a novel called 2046, in which he reunites with Su Lizhen. Chang Chen and Lau Kar-Ling play a couple of lovers; Wong Yaye and Kimura Takuya plays a pair of robot lovers. They are all characters in the book, and they are all from the future. It is sort of a sequel to In the Mood For Love.

Im in the middle of a fan boy rush!!! all i can say is Zhang Ziyi is hotter than ever....i really like her in that character as Bai Ling a girl who lives in a hotel who have no direction in life still searches for what will be her life when she meet this writer-journalist guy and then their life started from flirting, dating and...SEX !...woho...

man i cant believe that she's into that sex scene..and all i can say is..i almost melted in my seat with Lace while staring at those Zhang Ziyi moans and screams ahahahha..geez..im starting to scare all my readers..hahaha.dont worry..

watch 2046..although..the title fooled me for thinking how futuristic the story but the 2046 title is a hotel room which people stay in where they like to search for their answers in life and to leave all their memories in one place.

I like the scores of the film, and the main 2046 theme has many versions, the blend of the musical scores really gives catch of the classic and futuristic style of each scenes.

(while typing this..I'm receiving an image transfer from RG, FHM cover of Zhang Ziyi)...

Leather and Lace

wohooh..me and my honey.meet up yesteday and it was great to see her again, after a 1 week of sickness and staying in our homes, 1st week before xmas the best time to see each other again.

congratulations for making up to the Dean's List..astig!
and thanks honey..for the cookies!
as my song goes... "on the 1st day of Christmas my true love sent to me, .a box full of choco chips cookies"

we were going to watch Wong Kar Wai's new film "2046" but the movie showing seems screwed up for the upcoming Manila Film Fest on Dec 25. so i think they hold the release of the film here in our country in welcoming the entries of the Film fest.

but watching the "Harold and Kumar" film really sells to us. funny movie and crazy dudes in their adventure going to that Burger fast food called "The White Castle". after the movie i dragged Lace to Wendy's to grub a big Burger for lunch.

it was a short time for me to be with her, but she have to go back to school and me have to attend a business meeting. but im glad that everything is ok for us...

whohooh...cookies !!!!!
my love baked me box of cookies!
thanks Honey!!!!!!!

you see...my stomach is my brain! ahhaha..

Photobooth

I remember when the days were long,
And the nights when the living room was on the lawn.
Constant quarreling, the childish fits, and our clothes in a pile on the ottoman.
All the slander and double-speak
Were only foolish attempts to show you did not mean
Anything but the blatant proof was your lips touching mine in the photobooth.

Cup your mouth to compress the sound,
Skinny dipping with the kids from a nearby town.
And everything that I said was true,
As the flashes blinded us in the photobooth.
Well, I lost track, and then those words were said.
You took the wheel and you steered us into my bed.
Soon we woke and I walked you home,
And it was pretty clear that it was hardly love.

And as the summer's ending,
The cool air will rush your hard heart away.
You were so condescending.
And this is all that's left:
The empty bottles, spent cigarettes.
So pack a change of clothes, 'cause it's time to move on.

Party Go Go!

December is the month of party..thats a new meaning for me. events, conventions, indoor parties, tiangge, and lots of bazaar every where. That's why im so prepared for this month.

I attended some xmas party and lucky me that i have small amount of energy charged for those parties.

Dec 19
Party Transform

all boys party.with the guys of TransFormers Philippines. having a party watching videos and playing toys! wahhhahaa....damn you Mark for eating all the pasta! ahhhaa...im glad that another round of year has passed and the boys from TFPH is now reformatting the new group.

Party night...Star Wars Style

after going to the all boys party of TransFormers, me and Mark went to Sucat, Oneal's place for the Star Wars Philippines party. we arrived late because of the heavy traffic and it was the right time to attend the party coz everyone is already at their peak of Starwoids. i saw the other members in the viewing room watching the STar Wars Trilog DVD specials, and the others outside talkies about Star Wars costumes for the next convention.

again...the Food smiles at me.and hello TAHONG !!!, i love this seafood.

then..Adrian Arcega introduces us a card game called "Sabacc", its a galactic card game in Star Wars where Han Solo won the Millenium Falcon from Lando Carlissian, its like a black jack card game, that requires mathematics, adding the numbers and rolling a dice.

I won 3 consecutive times, winning stuff from Marga,a Star wars playing cards and from Adrian a STar Wars: Shattering point book. too bad i lost the 4th game, and Vicoy won a mounted YODA poster...oh cool! and after that Oneal gave away prizes of Action figures Jango Fett and Aayla Secura....oh lucky Adrian won that Secura figures!

thanks to the Star Wars Family for making this group strong and unites into a one FORCE.

Dec 17
Espiritu Santo Parochial School Batch 94 Xmas party

at last! after 10 years. our first highschool reunion. Espiritu Santo Parochial School.
It was great to see again my barkadas and friends back in highschool, it was like a nightmare to me for seeing again these people.eheehe.. but it was fun meeting them again, we talk about the past and the stuff we do now.

one friend, Barbra Lozano, took me a quick chit chat during what happened on us between my girl Rosanna Nanas, she told me that Rosanna wanted me to be her boyfriend, and during that time..i didnt know that..coz i was courting her for almost 3 years and i didnt know that she's telling to everyone that i was her boyfriend. and the bottom line is..i didnt know that! - for me it was a shocking revelation... all i did that night was laugh and split my mind into to two.

it was fun chatting again with my old buds, talking about the crazy stunts we did last highschool, ehehe..who the hot girls, who dance during the xmas party and those funny teachers we tease every sessions.

it was a flashback to the past..and it was fun..got a little drunk
and went home.. tired..

I brought RG and Ryan that night, but they moved to other place and then i used them for reasoning for leaving early. ehhehe

hope we can have these activity next year.

Dec 18
Filcosplay xmas party

held in Eastwood city, people from the cosplay community organized a one day party for all members of Filcosplay. I was not going attend the party coz im reserving my time for the Artists' Den, but my honey Lace told me to attend and be a representative for the both of us, great idea! and then i went there a little late and i was welcomed by cosplay people and friends and the only thing they asked is "Where's ate Lace?", then i told them that she's resting and recovering from a fever. me too is recovering, but the food really blocked my mind from recovering.
ehehee. .the stomach is my brain aahahhaa

Its cool to meet the Filcosplay members, coz some of them i only talked to from the online forums. Best food by Wantan, great hosting by Henry and Dasku, cool leadership ny Mina, and never miss the fun with those mini moni fans !!! hahahahah and Yatta.

Artists' Xmas Party

first time to organize one for our group, The Artists' Den new batch holds a xmas party for all members, and i'm happy to the turn out of the event, it was fun and its like one of our regular Starbucks meeting.
RG brought his laptop girlfriend named "Almira" and then we watch Cutey Honey, movie, a live action film based on Go Nagai's Cutey Honey animation, too bad that the film has no english subtitles, but the gang pulled it off dubbing their own translation ahhahhaa.

Trish, one of my best bud was there ! at last..after that long stay from Japan to Italy and she's back again. she's my mate in ice skating and movie hopping, but this time, she's not leaving..ehehe..got excited to see her car "FORD" model, cool car. and i drove it to Camy's uncles parking space. and got a hard time using an automatic engine.

thanks to Camy's mom for cooking for us, i loved her japanese rice, its really soft and easy to digest..thats one of the reason i want to go back to CAmy's place in Caloocan...the FOOD !! the food! the one that lures me in!!! ....also. one of our favorite is her home made brownies.yum yum~

AFter the activities,we went back for a 2 hour meeting, tracking back what Artists' Den did the whole 2004 and we set up our plans for the upcoming 2005. it was great for us to have this.coz its a serious one and it activates our energy in doing more activities next year. a great contribution for the Filipino art.

thanks to Elbert Or for the Audio cd of "Avenue Q"
it was funny and hilarious....its like Sesame STreet for adults.
i researched it and it was a Broadway musical stage play, actors with puppets, with this Sesame Street ambiance. really funny. i like the songs - The internt is for PORN, Give me money!, im not wearing underwear today.

il upload soon some sample of Avenue Q.

Artists' Den attendance : Lico Reloj, Camy Francisco, Elbert Or, RG Guanzon, Trish Alcantara, Azrael Coladilla, Ariel Atienza, Lyndon Gregorio, Wilson Tortosa, Patrick, Mica, CKlaigne, Mark Cerbo

Engine No.9

still sick and a little drowzy and my accuracy is still bumpy.
I went to a meeting which is very important and it has something to do about the magazine we will be launching next year, and we are speeding up all the process for a time of marketing this coming G2con in Megamall, and its great to part of the team, and im happy that all of our ideas will be used so i invited my friends from the Artists' Den to be part of this great Dream i have.

Been bugging me this stuff 2 nights ago, and i feel hurt that time and thanks for that beer i got at home, which makes me super sick again. I'm glad that i have friends here and for the nth time i found out that im not alone.

career career....geez..this stuff always comes to mind, and lately my mind is full of ideas and i didnt know where it come from, maybe my mind triggers when something bad happens to me, well its great to be back again in full shape, bigger, badder and so aggressive especiall when it comes to this kind of activities. -events

next year it will be the best convention you'll ever experience as me and my team will put more blood on this convention and im glad that this baby convention i organized 4 years ago is back again. and for the real deal, the main people behind the 1st convention recognized me as one of the best people around to handle this kind of activity.

Im glad that the wolves arent back, coz they are the one who nailed me down to the grounds, but lucky me i stay alive and always fighting for it.

FPJ is now dead and in heavens, Panday is one of my favorite character when I was a kid, and for me Panday is my hero, i like those bad guys like zombies, monsters, ninjas wielded with swords and Panday one guy who has this magical sword from the gods to fight evil in the face of the Earth, maybe that time I was a big fan of He-Man. coz I like swords hehehehe

Xmas time is coming and i dont feel the breeze of xmas, i'm weird and i dont know why.. last year i felt the xmas atmosphere. because someone shared it with me, and im happy for that, spending xmas time 30 min. before 12midnight. its fun and a little unforgettable. but the rest of that is history..and i want to forget it.

well..i still have 1 week to re-organize my self and find this Xmas spirit...maybe on monday when i meet Lace..im glad that she's ok and fully recovered. and now im excited to see her.

The event was jam packed with comic fans and comic superstars, its fun to see all these people in one event especially in a comicbook launching.
Me and Ryan Orosco went there a little late and just in the nick of time to hear Zach Yonzon's speech about the Support Filipino Comics Program, he said that surf the website www.mangocomics.com/ilovecomics for full info on the program.

After the event small talks and speech from the comic writer/artist of the new age comics of Lastikman - Gerry Alanguilan and Arnold Arre. Edgar Tadeo wasn't present as Zach says Ed enjoys so much in U.K.,

The event ended in a one on one comic signing and meet the artist.

Fantastic Lastik Comic Book
Why on earth would anyone want to get Mango Comics
latest publication: MARS RAVELO’S LASTIKMAN?

Well, for only P150, which is the price you’d pay for
a regular 22-page super-X-whatever-bat-book, you get a
complete prestige formatish 56-page full color slam
bang extravaganza!!!

Are you a fan of Gerry Alanguilan’s stories? Then you
better get this book! Because if you want a dark,
dramatic, blood and guts Wasted type story, then you
better go get an extra copy of WASTED (still available
in selected secret branches here and there).

But if you’re a fan of Gerry’s CREST HUT BUTT SHOP,
then consider this CREST HUT’s elastic spastic cousin.
Yup, all the crazy, zany, wacko slice of superhero
life (including chickens) have been crammed into the
panels of this 56-page book.

It’s a slam bang bang kerplang action packed story.
Well, it’s more like slam bang bang HAHAHHA kapow
kablam CRY CRY kablooey action packed type of story.

Another reason you should check out this book is the
AAA! The Arnold Arre Art! Yup, Arnold’s back in
fighting book. Last time we saw his work was AFTER
EDEN and Arnold’s back with elastic vengeance (I’m
sorry, I really don’t know what that means I just felt
like I has to use the word elastic again.)

Anyway, Arnold really puts Lastikman through the paces
and stretches him in every possible way. (Check out
Lastiksquid!) As usual, Arnold jams the pages and
panels with all sorts of comical details which
definitely require a second and third reading to get
all the visual jokes. (Let’s see if you can quickly
spot the James Tailoring Shop… hehehe!)

And deserving of a second and third look is very sexy
and very stretchable Atomika. Wow! All I can say is…
WOW! (Well, there’s more to be said about this
badbadgirl but let’s just stick to WOW for the
moment.) Or how about… all I can say is WHOA! MAN!
What a Woman! (Ok! Ok! I should’ve stopped with just
saying WOW…)

You want more reasons to get a copy of MARS RAVELO’S
LASTIKMAN? Well, do you like color? Yup, color! You
like colorful stuff? Well, then you get color, bye
golly, thanks to Edgar Tadeo (ably assisted by the
randy Ryan Orosco), who brought Arnold’s art to full
Technicolor life-- great work on the pages that show
the hostage situation on the TV screen.

You still want another reason to get this book? Well,
it’s only P150! For P150 you usually get… oh… wait … I
already talked about that.

So, there.

Go.

Get it.

Ice Cream and Lollypoppy

Az and Lace Adventures continues..

last saturday was a busy and fun day-night for the two of us as we marathon our way going to DLSU-to my place-the venue and back.

We enjoyed the event during the whole day as I stock up my stomach lots of food from the Tabemono Fest and listen to the rock music at the Animo Rockathon - which was the unofficial name of the event, but it was the main plan for the title, but the DLSU groumates of Lace used the "Ultimate BANDing Experience" title, which is not too cool for me...so i changed it to "Animo Rockathon:Ultimate Band Experience".. some people mis read it as Ultimate BADing Experience..eaahahah..

during the end of the week, Lace told me the origin of her name.and she said that the name Lace came from the American Gladiator character muscle girl named Lace aka Marisa Pare.

Eat like a japanese
one of my favorite food is the Japanese food, the taste and smell of the food really works and fuel my soul, every time i can hear the word 'japanese', my mind is starting to think of Food..and not all anime.
Juujiro Organization Inc. pulled a successful cultural awareness like the Tabemono Festival: Japanese Food Festival, these people should get more support for conducting a cool cultural exchange event and they promised next year that the event they are organizing will be bringing the japanese culture, tradition, festivities here in our country. A very big deal of event organizing... but its fun.

I've been to some japanese festival here in Manila, and that was way back 5 years ago in Manila Japanese School in Paranaque, but i no longer heard any news about their next fest.

Liida cooking demo

The Tabemono Festival begins with the cooking demo of each members and then after the cooking a taste test was given to all audience, and i love this part...eating.....each guest is given a one set of bento box for free, eat all you can ahhhaha. but save the comments later and start filling those hungry stomach by homemade japanese grub.

Ramen eating contest, Lico ramen monster

after that, Extreme Ramen Eating Contest, Lico Reloj joins the contest and won 3 times, and beats Beige of 7Thursday during the final round as they won a tie in round 2. Onigiri (rice ball) was the coolest food, those japanese rice in a triangle shape filled with apple cubes and meat... during the audience participation, Lico volunteered and made a GODZILLA Onigiri.

people went there to see the recipe exchange and learn the basic way to cook japanese food. The most awaited event was the On the spot Japanese cooking contest, which me and my team - Beige of 7Thursday and Neil of Rotschreck won the 1st place in the cooking contest beating Master Chef Lico, AJ-zone and X other members of 7Thursday band.

we won the contest as I got the right taste of the Beef Misono..which is not too salty and the beef cooked in medium rare..cool..part...I
impressed my honey Lace in my style of cooking ehheh.

Animo Rockers!
fast break in Megamall, me and Lace dropped by at the Megamall Foodcourt to rest and let her to have some ice cream which is one her favorite, and after that we rushed our way going to Malate for the Animo Rockathon.

Luna and Aids...We Kick Ass For the Lord

we already felt tired when we got there in Indo's Bar and my concerns for the band is to have a nice play and go home after they performed. first shot was We Kick Ass For the Lord, Luna and Aids rocked playing astig guitar riffs a "take me out" by Franz Ferdinand and some original songs.

Rotshreck..high jrocking atmosphere
Rotshreck jrocking mode slams the evening with heavy guitars of Dire en Grey as they were supported and cheered by some of their jrock fans,

then the Purplechcikens still rules my night . I missed their gigs and im glad that i saw them live again..and thanks to them for having a live act for this charity event. sad part is that the 7Thursday and Late Isabel didnt performed coz one of their members are sick...but its okay their continued support for charity and music never fades.

it was a great night...sweet night..and loving night for the two of us..
i dont want to wake up again..if this is a dream..
but im thankful...that it is real..

Theater play and comics
this is the result if we merge some comics and theater plays, thanks and congratulations to Nautilus comics for the success of thei comic launching of Issue 3 last week in Powerbooks Greenbelt. and thanks for the goodie bag set of CAST and SIGLO.

CAST comics is a teen series story of a boy and his classmates.friends highschool adventure, from entering the audition for the King Arthur play to the rehearsal and falling in love. i havent read the 3rd issue coz i havent finished reading the 2nd issue, but all i can say that each issue shares a moral lesson to the reader and gives idea bit by bit about theater play, im glad that i have this coz im planning to direct a theater play next year and this comics serves as my reference before i enter that theater art workshop.

It was like a Artists' Den meet up that night, Jaclyn Lim, Jonas Diego, Ariel Atienza, Ludz Sacramento, Elbert Or chit chat night for all of us, discussing same topics and new ideas for the coming term. and it will be great contribution for the nation for having this kind of Art stuff.

Lastikman the movie
starring Mark Bautista and Sarah Geronimo
its a very teeny movie and i miss the Vic Sotto version of Lastikman, in this version of Mark Bautista a new costume for the new hero and the story if lot more different in the comics and the previous movie.

been doing this commercial video editing for Lace's school project, and i help her in doing the editing and it serves also a practice for my editing and directing skills ek ek..ahhaha..here are some samples of my edit jobs..got a hard time in editing for they have short script and footages. but on the other side i made some ideas to make it as a commercial ad. and an example here is a Modess commercial. starring Lace and her classmates.

Lace Modess commercial 1
Lala Modess commercial 2

my editing is a little bit crappy and you can recognize how rush i did it. wehehehee....

and here's my first attempt for a Anchor Butter spread commercial ad
very funny..coz i did the voice over for the commercial ad.. note: this is only for a school project and not the official commcercial ad of the product.
