Komiks Congress 2007, my short report

While Im writing this down, Im listening to the Nokia Soundtrip soundtrack- Rivermaya's "Posible", well its like a dream come true. yes..it is possible, but for now It is only a launching for a basic plan to revive the comic industry.

I was there to witness what will be the outcome of forming an association or organization or having a contest as a starter for giving back the strength of Komiks or Comics to the Filipino. At first Im still puzzled on if they are going to revive it, how will they be giving attention to people who already published their own, or are they going to focus only on their own?? hmmm...

Its a heart warming experience if you were there at the Komiks Congress, they started on how did the Komiks started to die and the possibility of reviving it. Carlo J. Caparas known as Komiks King, stand out first and gave a big shout and said that he is back and promised to bring back the industry that he left. And he told us during the forum that no government should destroy it or no government can control the revival of Komiks.

They just gathered some known people from the industry to form some kind of board members temporarily just to let this Congress continue, and Carlo Caparas was appointed as acting President for the Congress, which he reacted that he's not fit for the position and he can agree for a 3 week position only.

They told us about the contest that will be used and a starter for everyone for giving back Komiks in our lives. Im still thinking where and when is this contest?
I just observed that the publicity of the contest is quite okay. but the information of the contest is not delivered to the right people who must join.

I still have lots of words to say about this, Im happy that there is something going on like this, and I will be happy to see and get a good result after the Congress.

read more of the Komiks Congress written by people who were with me during that day.
its better to read their commentary and report coz they are in the industry and they felt more than I do.
