VSO Bahaginan is registered Filipino development organization that fight poverty and disadvantage through a range of volunteering development programs. We are part of VSO or Voluntary Service Overseas, an international development organization that works in 35 developing countries. This year, VSO is marking its 50th year anniversary worldwide. To find out more about us, please check www.vsobahaginan.org.ph.

To mark VSO's 50th anniversary, we will be paying tribute to our valuable supporters with a short program and cocktails. At the same time we will have the premiere screening of two documentary films -- Panudlak, and The RV Diaries-- co-produced with two established names in independent filmmaking, Ray Gibraltar and Milo Paz.

This premiere is only the first of many screenings that we hope to have of the films, all over the country. We would like to engage bloggers such as you, to help us to promote our advocacy of 'volunteering to fight poverty and disadvantage' and to create buzz about the films. We hope that the films will inspire and serve as a catalysts for Filipinos to enliven the Filipino's inate tradition and heart for volunteering, regardless of whether they do it in our country or in other developing countries.

We hope that this first invitation, and first meeting, will be the beginning of a continuous collaboration with you, and the blogging community in the Philippines.

Many thanks and warm regards,
