The gaming gods will meet the game creator.
This is really great! Korean comic creator of Ragnarok will be here in Manila for the Level Up Live : Rise of the Gaming gods this Saturday. Lee Myung-Jin will meet all fans and as the guest of the event, he will have a meet and greet and also sign autographs for two days . I was surprised to read this at Hazel's DA journal and I'm glad that they have a Sunday schedule, because I'm planning to go there on Sunday to cover the event for Pop Machine Media and my blog.

As Level Up! 2008: Rise of The Gaming Gods and The Ragnarok World Championships draws nearer, "Ragnamania" is once again hitting the streets. Indeed, the popularity of Ragnarok has become so widespread that an animated series was even created in its image and was even aired here in the country. The theme of Ragnarok has been successfully integrated in numerous adaptations for both gaming and print. One such example is the Ragnarok comic adaptation by Lee Myung-Jin which would serve as the backdrop for the highly successful game “Ragnarok Online”!
“Ragnarok” by Lee Myung-Jin should be familiar to fans of the online game. It was this body of work that spurred the creation of Ragnarok Online. His comic was also distributed locally and to this day continues to inspire young artists and fans of the series!
This October 18 and 19, get to see meet him in person! Lee Myung-Jin will be visiting the country as a special guest for the Level Up! Live 2008: Rise of The Gaming Gods and Ragnarok World Championships events!

Lee Myung-Jin, a popular comic artist in Korea, began his career as an artist in 1992;. By the late 90’s, he was already an accomplished manhwa (Korean print cartoon-comics) artist. And after having established his studio, “Drive to Dream Sea”, he began his work on the Legendary Ragnarok comics.
His body of work with the series was so great, that he became involved in the conception of “Ragnarok Online”, at the time a game that would integrate role-playing elements into the world that he created. A MMORPG like no other, Ragnarok would be the realization of his work into gaming form!
