Cartoon Network unleashes Star Wars : The Clone Wars TV series in the Philippines

I'm so happy that I got invited to Philippine premiere and launching of Star Wars : The Clone Wars animated tv series, the venue of My Cinema in Greenbelt 3 was transformed into the world of Star Wars. I feel like that I'm inside Planet Kamino waiting to be cloned and added to the Clone Troopers roster, but its so sad that I wore a wrong shirt with Darth Vader's face (its the Star Wars Philippines club shirt) and I think the Clone Troopers didn't recognize the print in my first ( because Darth Vader showed up Episode 3 and Clone Wars is in between Episode 2 and 3). So after my photo op holding a light saber and tropper's rifle, I got arrested by the Clone Troopers and nearly deported back to Planet Naboo.

But this is not about my adventure at the premiere screening, but its about the Philippine launching of the animated tv series Star Wars : The Clone Wars in Cartoon Network on February 13, 2009 at 7:00 PM and we will experience the power of the force once again. and only available in Cartoon Network.

here's my video blog coverage

It’s STAR WARS like you have never seen before! In the signature style of Lucasfilm Animation, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS chronicles the adventures of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Ahsoka Tano and other favorite STAR WARS characters as they struggle against the dark side during the divisive, action-packed Clone Wars. Each week, a new “mini-movie” in the galaxy-changing Clone Wars comes to center stage, brought to the screen by supervising director Dave Filoni and executive producer George Lucas. Expect non-stop, adrenaline-pumping battles and astonishing new revelations as the Jedi Knights struggle to maintain freedom and restore peace to the galaxy by using their army of genetically engineered clones to fight the seemingly never-ending droid army. Ideal for family viewing, this series is designed to appeal to fans of all ages -- from kids who are just learning about the STAR WARS galaxy to longtime fans. Viewers can also catch the encore screening of this intergalactic combat between good and evil on Saturdays at 10AM.
And it will surely be a smash hit, because a lot of kids and adults ( and also Star Wars fans ) are waiting for the continuation of the Star Wars : The Clone Wars movie that was launched last year 2008, and now the adventure and epic battle between good and evil will take place here in this animated series, with lots of revelation and untold stories which will be seen first here. For me, this is one of the most important part of the entire Star Wars Saga.

Above is the Star Wars battle timeline, its a guide and a time map, where you can see that the Clone Wars saga took place in between Episode 2 and Episode 3. If you remember the Cartoon Network Star Wars : The Clone Wars micro tv series, that micro series took place after this tv series and shortly before Episode 3. If I am right, Many revelations will be seen here, and after watching the 1st episode,I experienced a boil in my blood and hunger for more episode, beacuse of the all action pack and fast pacing of the story will make a fan "wow" in all Jedi glory. Thanks to Cartoon Network for bring this series to the Philippines.

STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS has already taken Cartoon Network in the United States by storm and rocketed to new heights with the series’ premiere on Friday, October 3, 2008. The new Lucasfilm Animation series scored as the most-watched series premiere in network history, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. The one-hour new series premiere also reigned as the #1 program from 9-10 p.m. among all major kids’ networks in kids 6-11, kids 2-11, tweens 9-14, teens 12-17 and persons 2+, earning triple-digit increases compared to the same time period last year. The weekly, CG-animated series also attracted the largest tweens 9-14 audience for any premiere telecast of an original series in Cartoon Network’s 16-year history.

No doubt, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS will be smashing records in the Philippines in February 2009! With a new story on Cartoon Network each week, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS will continue the tradition of thrilling storytelling, astonishing visuals and extraordinary music that have always been the hallmarks of the STAR WARS saga.
