The SMART Mobile Developer Conference brings together mobile developers and
Android™ experts and resource persons to exchange knowledge, experience and
tools on developing mobile applications for Android™. Slated on 11 Sept 2009
at the SM Science Discovery Center at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, the
conference will be gathering resource persons from HTC and other local
Android experts along with over 200 developers (students, freelancers, and
professionals). Planned activities include presentations, resources and
tools, Q&A, and a forum. There will also be a hands-on workshop where
developers can have their first actual experience of using Android™ handsets
and the developer tools.

The SMART Mobile Developer Competition aims to bring out the best from the
Philippines’ mobile application developer community. The competition aims to
enhance the Philippine mobile developer community. The competition is open
to developers with java programming experience and will award the top two
entries based people’s votes and rating by judges based on a set criteria. A
representative from each of the top two winning entries will be given the
opportunity to showcase their Android™ application at the Conexus showcase
at the GSMA Mobile Asia Congress in Hong Kong on 18 Nov 2009. Competition
registration ends 18 Sept.
