Ultraman kaiju monsters dancing "Thriller"

This is so cute and funny, all monsters of Ultraman are dancing Michael Jackson's Thriller, I just wished that the Ultra soldiers will dance next time. My favorite kaiju, Alien Baltan is also seen here dancing in front carrying his large pincers hahahaha. Also I like to request some sentai and other tokusatsu characters dancing some Michael Jackson music.

RP pushes tourism growth at World Travel Expo

LONDON - The Philippines joined hundreds of exhibitors at the World Travel Market (WTM) show in London, as part of an ongoing long-term strategy to boost tourism into the country.

Together with members of the Philippine travel industry, the Department of Tourism (DOT) presented to a global audience of travel professionals who are looking for business opportunities.

The annual event, held at ExCel Exhibition Centre in the Royal Docks, is among the biggest events in the travel industry, attracting thousands of participants from all over the world including tourism boards, hotels, tour operators, entrepreneurs, airlines and specialist publications. (read more below)

“The World Travel Market is a very significant venue where international stakeholders composed of different markets and countries come together for an intensive business-to-business exchange with immediate results,” said Ace Durano, Secretary of Tourism.

Taking an active part in the WTM for 25 years, the DOT is one of the pioneers in the travel mart, a major venue for promotion on an international platform, and responding to issues and concerns of tour operators, clients and consumers.

“We have high expectations from this trade fair. We’ve been around the world attending shows, and it’s our first time to really tap into the UK and European market,” said Isabel Garcia from Boracay Regency Beach Resort, who attended the expo for the first time.

She added that these events have the potential to attract new interests, “This is the best channel to invite all Europeans to go to the Philippines and Boracay as their next destination. It plays a big factor in improving sales, production and tourism.”

The trade event also provided a positive outlook for tourism in 2010.
The tourism chief noted, “As gleaned from the WTM Global Trends Report, we are looking at a better year head, with new measures in place to reverse the slump and forge on to recovery.”

Citing the research of Euromonitor International, Durano said that the sector is more solid than ever with a major shift of priorities by reinforcing strengths and resources to address the threats.

The UNWTO World Tourism Barometer complements the WTM Report, which indicated that ‘the rate of decline has eased from January to August of 2009,’ and stated that a ‘moderate growth can be expected’ for the following year.

Undersecretary Eduardo Jarque, Jr., highlighting results from the travel mart said, “Closing deals, creating open communication, and generating publicity in the international arena are just some of the tangible benefits we reap from large-scale events such as the WTM.” Jarque also mentioned that a number of resorts have likewise managed to become part of international tour programs, while others were selected to be featured in specialist publications like Luxury Spas.

Domingo Enerio III, DOT-London Tourism Attache expressed, “We are one of the few who enjoy a firm partnership with the private sector. And this united front that we exhibit to our markets definitely gains us their trust and confidence.”

Joining DOT was a host of service providers from the Philippine travel sector, including Annset Holidays, Baron Travel Corporation, Blue Horizons Travel & Tours, Bellaroca Island Resort, Boracay Regency Beach Resort/Regency Lagoon, El Nido Resorts, Eskaya Beach Resort, Filtravel, Hermes Agencia de Viajes, Intas Destination Management, Manila Hotel, Misibis Bay Raintree/HSAI Collection of Hotels and Resorts Philippines, One World Travel Express, Philippine Eagle Foundation, Rajah Tours Philippines, Shroff International, Southern Travel Corporation, St. Christopher Travel, Surelite Travel, and T.R.I.P.S. Travel.

The World Travel Market is one of largest gatherings of travel professionals from around the globe. Celebrating its 30th year, it provides an international platform on which tourism boards and service providers could forge business relationships and create opportunities for each other. It is also an open forum where travel professionals could address issues affecting the industry, including sustainability, technological developments, economic conditions, trends, emerging markets, and the environment.

This year, it will be our first time to have a loonngggggggg toy fair, a total of 7 days of pure toys and collectibles items will be sold and at around 80 booth exhibitors will be there selling toys and stuff in a best deal.

I shop for toys here every December and it never fails me to take home great bargains of toys, and not just ordinary toys, they are rare toys hehehehehe. Btw, the poster above is my initial design for the event, I just fnished it minutes ago and already sent it to my group, not yet the official poster, but I'll know if it is approved within the day of December 7, 2009. Been designing the poster and below are the past events we have already from 2006-2008.

Surprise twist saves two Pinoy bets on HP Space

FINALIST - PH - Adrienne Vergara 1
Adrienne Vergara

Still nine contestants are on their way to getting a dream job and US$50,000 in the new pan-Asian reality television series HP Space after a surprise twist in the latest episode save the day for three contestants, including the two Filipino bets in the show.

The total 16 contestants at the beginning of the show were down to nine, with the Filipino pair still intact, coming in to episode four of this new exciting series shown every Wednesday at 9 pm on Star World. Another elimination is up, and three more candidates will need to pack up their belongings and return home at the end of the episode from Singapore, where this two-month show is staged.

Filipinos Raffy Francisco, a filmmaker, and 25-year-old performer Adrienne Vergara, along with their teammate Lora Lee, a design student from China, landed at the bottom of the three teams this week, which means they will be eliminated. However, the contestants were in for a big surprise: episode four was a non-elimination round, and the three were given a second chance to prove their worth. (read more below)

The Filipinos survived the elimination – thanks to luck – but not without valuable lessons learned, especially for Francisco who was the only thorn among the two roses. He said being at the bottom and almost got eliminated made him realize that he must assert himself at every challenge.

FINALIST - PH - Raffy Fransisco 3
Raffy Francisco

For this episode, each team was asked to convert a confined hotel room into a modern, sleek and chic living space. The challenge was to redesign a bare room by incorporating Singapore iconography with a contemporary feel using textures with sleek and modern lines for the living space, and also, to show how HP personal computers can be an attractive entertainment center.

The week’s mentor Douglas Young, creator of G.O.D., took the contestants to Chinatown, Little India, and Geylang in search of design motives and iconography that they will translate into the modern design that pays homage to their Asian heritage.

The concept and room design of Singaporean art director David Tang, Korean motion graphic designer Uni Lee, and Indian photographer Rohit Ferriera impressed the judges most.

Graphic designer Note Kunprasop from Thailand and illustrator Admira Pustika from Indonesia, struggled with Indian visual artist Sawan Singh, and the team suffered some “unforgivable” misses with their room design. But in the end, the team impressed the mentor by taking the risk of embracing the clichés.

Francisco, Vergara, and Lee’s design was a disaster, with another contestant commenting the room looked like a porn studio. Francisco made a short video presentation of their idea and somehow made the judges appreciate their concept. However, it wasn’t enough to save them from falling to the bottom.

HP Space, the latest platform for Asia’s aspiring talents to cultivate, nurture, and showcase their passion for creativity and the arts, is an entertaining new television series to watch on Star World. The show is a welcome breather on a Wednesday night, the middle of a work week. And with two Pinoys with strong chances of making it to the last man or woman standing, Filipinos have more reasons to enjoy this new Asian hit.

The show gets more exciting with each episode and the challenges more demanding of creativity and talent. Episode five looks to be another blockbuster with the contestants strutting their stuff in fashion. Be sure to catch it every Wednesday at 9 pm on Star World.

SAM_2039
Bloggers dinner out at Maki House in Banawe, Q.C. and saw the new line and series 2 of Bobson Jeans. I remember that I buy Bobson jeans during my highschool years and love their baggy and loose pants. But now I'm starting to love the tight, fit and soft jeans fabric and new design.

They also have a series 2 line for polo shirts and tshirts. The series 2 line is perfect for teens and young adults. Jeans price is around P800 to P900 pesos. Availalbe in all department store.

Hello Kitty Christmas Surprise Show at SM MOA

SAM_2120
me and Lace just catch the 1st show of Hello Kitty at SM Mall of Asia few weeks ago, the Christmas Surprise Show is open to all to watch it live, there are shows for other SM malls just look for the official poster near the entrance of some malls for a proper schedule of the next show. In order to have a seat in front of the stage, you need to purchase P250 of Hello Kitty items sold in the area. The sad part is that, its only for the show and there's no photo op with Hello Kitty.

SAM_2113
I'm really glad that we decided to watch it upstairs at Haagen Dazs. Hello Kitty in her London style outfit as they emcee said, did 3 dance number and 1 song number "Santa Clause is coming to town", all songs and music are Japanese, because Hello Kitty is pure Japanese.

Watching the taping of QTV Secrets of the Master

PC015628
It's my first time to be on a taping of a cooking tv show and for me its a dream come true to watch the video taping of QTV 11 Secrets of the Master. We enjoy watching this cooking show at QTV 11 every Sunday at 7:30pm, you can call me a fan of the show. I'm so excited when I read an email message that Century Tuna invited me to watch and be at the taping of the episode for December 20, 2009. Its sad that I missed the other two episodes, but got a time to sched myself for this taping at GMA 7.

One of the food that they will cook is using a Century Tuna red can, thats the chunky tuna in water. The master chef for that episode was Chef Sau Del Rosario, labeled as the sexy chef according to the show tv host Isa Litton. It was an impressing style making that tuna burger patty like with salad called "Century Tuna cakes Siam (Thai) Style".

Chef Sau combined mashed potato, Century Tuna chunks, eggs, and olive oil, then he friend it and best served with salad. The best part of each cooking chapter is that taste taste of the food, Isa Litton is with a guest from Apettite Magazine, after they ate and taste the meal, Isa will just say "bring down the food!", then the food will serve it to us. hahahaha, it was yummy and love the combination of a hot and sweet sauce, the salad is okay too and it's fun to eat it while I'm with the Secret of the Masters audience.

SAM_2313
Thanks to Century Tuna, QTV 11, Secrets of the Masters, and the show crew for inviting and taking care of us food bloggers for their show. I'm still game for that January 2010 taping episode hehehe.
