Sony Philippines Partners with The Mind Museum to encourage Filipinos to make.believe

When I first heard and attended the preview of Mind Museum last year, I became so excited and amazed on their concept, then I saw a replica of a baby Blue Whale in Glorietta 5, it was like a real whale in the middle of the mall, and now, the only thing to make my excitement be double is that Sony is here to make us believe on this new concept as they partnered now with Mind Museum in Taguig city. read the news below.
(you can still catch the baby blue whale at Market! Market from January 18 to February 2, and Greenbelt from February 3 - 17.)

In 1946, two young Japanese men decided to start a humble company founded on a belief that they can turn ideas into reality. From that initial spark followed decades of innovation that has transformed the lives of countless people, across generations. That simple dream of Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka became the global leader that is Sony.

This courage to dream and to use technology to act on a dream is something Sony wishes to share with consumers today with its unified brand message make.believe. “Believe” represents Sony’s ideas and ideals – the ability to think, imagine and dream – while “make” signifies the Company’s unique ability to turn these ideas into reality. The “dot” is where inspiration meets creativity and creativity meets reality.(more below)

But aside from merely being descriptive, make.believe is also a challenge Sony is posing for its consumers, especially the youth. The company is encouraging them to fill their minds with knowledge, allow their ideas to ferment into visions, and, like its founders, make use of technology to embark on the path towards their goals.

This is the rationale that has guided Sony Philippines as it expressed commitment to support The Mind Museum, the country’s first world-class science museum set to rise at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. It will feature over 175 interactive exhibits presenting science facts and discoveries, as well as their applications. These will be told through five main stories, corresponding to the museum’s five main galleries and spanning the entire range of nature’s elements: Atom, Life, Universe, Earth, and Technology. Being a brand known for innovation itself, Sony will have its own corner in the museum.

But even before the physical structure begins to rise, the partnership of Sony Philippines and Mind Museum has already begun to bear fruit. They recently joined forces with the National Geographic Channel and the Ayala Museum in their effort to bring The Big Blue Exhibit to the Philippines. The Big Blue Exhibit has been a hit all over Asia, as it opened up to visitors the majesty of marine life. Its key attraction is its sophisticated and awe-inspiring sculpture of a nine-meter long, two-month old baby blue whale.

Further to this, the exhibit will also regale the public with HD screenings on Sony BRAVIA LCD TVs of the groundbreaking documentary, Big Blue. Produced by National Geographic Channel, the documentary provides a haunting visual experience of the magnificent, but equally fragile and vulnerable, world under the sea. It also campaigned for awareness and response about the plight of these gentle giants and their fellow marine life, whose habitats are being threatened by pollution and climate change.

The Big Blue Exhibit first opened in Glorietta, and will continue to Trinoma from November 27 to December 11, Alabang Town Center from January 2 – 17, Market! Market from January 18 to February 2, and Greenbelt from February 3 - 17.

By committing to be part of The Mind Museum and its efforts towards science education through creative means, Sony Philippines hopes to show how technology can be a force for learning, a spark to embolden dreams, and a capacity builder in transforming reality – in short, a tool for everyone to make.believe
