my favorite part of the movie was towards the end when Alice told her suitor and her sisters cheating husband to, in kinder words, shove it :-) not only did she turn down his proposal, she made me smile when she turned back as she was walking away and danced the jig that the mad hatter did before she left the underland.-
i like how she broke away from societal expectations and showed that it is okay for women to be strong and empowered. i like too how she got up on that ship and sailed away as a partner of her fathers former business associate. these scenes reminded me that it is important to stand up for what you believe in despite and in spite the rules that limit, bind and constrict you. As long as you are doing what is right, go believe in the impossible, right? :-)
