I made it to the last day exhibit of Ballet Barbie in Podium mall last week and after watching that Eclipse movie I manage to go down immediately and took some photos because it is rare to see Barbie dolls wearing a one of a kind fashion dress created by our local fashion designers. The event is organized by Ballet Philippines and partner with Richwell Trading, our official distribution for Barbie and also tie up with the country's top designer. (more below)

Designers namely, Gerry Katigbak, Sassa Jimenez, Rajo Laurel, Pitoy Moreno, Puey Quinones, Joey Samson, Joel Escober, JC Buendia, Ivarluski Aseron, Patrice Ramos Diaz, Frederick Peralta and many more.

The big list of top designer is posted infront of the entrance and the presentation of the Barbie dolls wearing their creations is like a fashion show, the organizers told me that the clothes and dresses were custom made only for the Barbie dolls and there's no actual scale of that dress for humans. They also auction off some Barbie dolls in that event, and I heard that they have around 200 dolls during the duration of the exhibit and for the last day they have only 98 dolls, other dolls and one of a kind dress was auction off. I know Barbie collectors were there and some doll groups who participated in the auction event.

This is their first event and project and they told me that there will be another Ballet Barbie project next year.
