There are a long list of new techie items from Samsung and I will just show you and feature here the most interesting tech and gadgets for me. 2x more toppings for the Greenwich Ultimate Hawaiian Overload pizza

The title says it all, although that the name of the pizza is very long, we can now enjoy the pizza with 2x more toppings, means that we can get more pineapple, more cheese, more ham and more pizza yummy goodness. I tried for the first time their new Greenwich Ultimate Hawaiian Overload pizza at a bloggers meet up in Megamall. It was a fun eat out event and also gathering of food bloggers, love to see them again and this is my 1st bloggers event for the year 2010.


I enjoyed more on the thick crust and the pizza taste good even without a hotsauce or catsup, many people are saying the same thing that the thick crust is much more enjoyable than the thin crust of any pizza in Greenwich. December was their cheese overload and for the 1st month of 2010 we can now enjoy the new pizza that level up for more pizza toppings. We love pizza toppings and this time we can no longer argue with our food mate about the ham, cheese and other toppings.

I watched this few days ago after hearing the name Martin Scorsese in the 1st episode of Season 6 of Entourage and later on saw Jay Leno doing an interview with Vince, and then I didn't know that I'm watching Entourage. Ok, Im adding this on my list of must see HBO series.

Mark Millar's NEMESIS : A deadly comic book superhero

This topic is making the internet waves lately, and this is another comic book hit by comic writer super star Mark Millar and fan fave Canadian artist Steve McNiven that brought us Old Man Logan and Civil War in the universe of Marvel Comics. We know that Mark Millar is responsible for creating comics turned into a live action movies  like Wanted and Kick Ass. And today we are now waiting for the release of his new title for March called "Nemesis", according to an interview he said that the concept and story of Nemesis is like that "What if Bruce Wayne or Batman was the Joker?". Then they released a cover and a one page teaser included in the Marvel comics solicitation for March 2010.

So what are the comic fans reaction? hmmm from the cover and teaser pages, it really looks like Batman and with a bloody red paint of some kind of Heath Ledger's Joker from the Dark Knight movie. I haven't seen yet the full page teaser but this raise questions of making a super hero must become his own villain. I'm not that sure, but the most interesting part of this drama is when DC comics filed a lawsuit versus this title. And whoaaa, Mark Millar did something crazy this time and win a big publicity and also attracting DC comics, for the looks of it Mark Millar will win, because in the comics universe you can still get away with your created characters, just make sure to tell them that it may look like Batman or Joker, but it is really not them.

the sad part revolves now, is that DC comics can use that interview of Mark Millar saying that "What if Batman was the Joker?", well that's Millar and I know this title NEMESIS will be a crazy action comics, and hopefully a live action movie.

Sherlock Holmes movie with lots of chemistry (not my favorite Science subject, but this is a movie review)

A window of the year 1891's and life over pitch black color environment with tight fashion and black magic sits around the elements for director Guy Ritchie's movie of Sherlock Holmes. I know that a little fashion and pitch black style will work best here and also the massive set design needed to transform everything to the 1800's age. Everyone already know that Sherlock Holmes is the world's greatest detective with a brilliant mind, so at the start of the movie, there's no need to introduce him. But I'm just a little worried to some fans and purist of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as they ask the same question always, if the movie will still follow the original novel. But for others like me, who are not familiar with the novel ( i didn't read any single chapters) but live only at versions from comic books, classic movies, and cartoon versions of Sherlock Holmes, in my case this movie re-imagine the look and modern story telling to bring it back and present it to the new generation. Here's the teaser trailer of the most awaited last chapter of Harry Potter, part 1 will be released on November 2010. Now I'm excited and wish to win those autographed movie poster of the cast at the press screening eehehe. Deathly Hallows movie is now more serious in all HP movies. We have the book here at home but haven't finished it yet. The teaser trailer is a perfect start for this year to have another most awaited movie of the year.

Be a Na'vi from AVATAR - make up tutorial

Being a Na'vi is the new trend in cosplay and make up but it is also popular as a digital manipulation make up for your Facebook  or blog photo profile. This will be a new challenge also to cosplayers who are planning to be a Pandoran for this year's comics and toy convention. A good example last Saturday  after I saw Michael V. in Eat Bulaga in his own Na'vi make up, it is a perfect full details with a long hair braided wig, large ears, blue skin and details. I don't have a photo of Michael V. in Na'vi make up, but will post it soon here if we found one online.

I heard this new tv series of ABS CBN from my sister and she told me about the Tanging Yaman focuses on the family of the President of the Philippines, I'm surprised that the concept of the story is brilliant and fresh new for our tv and this show will be influential to all Filipinos and the upcoming President for 2010. The story is about the First Family and this series is in line with the 60 years of soap opera in the Philippines. 

Tanging Yaman will air this January 11, 2010 after Precious Hearts in ABS CBN starring Erich Gonzales, Melissa Ricks, Ejay Falcon, Enchong Dee, Matt Evans and Ron Morales,Rowell Santiago, Agot Isidro, Jodi Sta. Maria, Nonie Buencamino, Mylene Dizon and Leo Martinez.

The PCOS machines are here!

The machines are already here in Manila and thats 4,000 super machines that specializes in counting our modern ballots for the upcoming May 10 election. Didn't expected that the media are so excited to see this in the flesh. I also heard that we will be using one of the production machines on January 12, 2010 voter's education gig at Saguijo bar.

Clash of the Titans - main movie trailer

The movie is now scheduled to be released here in the Philippines on March 26, 2010. I'm excited to see this movie and I think the movie is a start of doing lots of remake of all classic mythological movies that we know, I like more giants, creatures and monsters, I'm very curious on that last creature they showed on the trailer, looks like Godzilla type with fusion to that monster of the Cloverfield. All action pack sequence and also this will bring me back to my childhood days when I got crazy watching the classic movies Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts, Hercules, Conan the Barbarian, The Barbarian Brothers and more monster movies.

In “Clash of the Titans,” the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. omg omg omg omg after for so many years the Yamato is finally a live action movie, if you remember the American dub version Starblazer animation on TV years ago, that flying space battle ship versus the Comet empire. I'm so happy and giggling like a super geek and whoaaaa Takuya Kimura is one of the actors.

digging some Sherlock Holmes

I'm excited to watch the press screening of Sherlock Holmes this week and it will be my first time to watch a movie directed by Guy Ritchie, and I'm not familiar on his style in making movies, as I remember he does some tvc and i think he directed some music videos too. We saw the trailer already in cinema and online, we can see in the trailer that the movie is action pack and lots of explosion, funny elements and also weirdness of the story. Here we see Holmes and Watson tries to solve a case and then investigate the disappearance and crime involvement of Lord Blackwood.

The movie lighted lots of spark to new Sherlock Holmes fans, as they started to dig more stuff about Holmes, and as what I observed, and instead of buying books or borrow books in the library many people are now downloading ebooks and audio books of Sherlock Holmes, which is a good thing to bring back us to read more and discover the adventure that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created in 1887.

I'm curious on the movie's concept and how it will be influential in the real world, especially in solving crimes and uncover mysteries of unsolved cases. The only thing that we can apply here is  the strong partnership of Watson to Holmes. The movie is already shown in the other countries, it is just so sad that the MMFF 2009 blocked all foreign films and we are here waiting for their return in the movie line up.(read more below)

"Tweens" - the new Mcdonalds commercial in the Philippines (January 2010)

Here's a new tvc from Mcdo, got the link from @budjette via plurk, the tvc concept is cute, I think this will serve another message to all tweens and their parents haahaha. I can now imagine my self back in the old time. Yeah! fast food outlets are the main ground for dating and meet up with girls .. yiheeeee.

Inception - 2nd teaser movie trailer

I just saw this 2nd movie teaser trailer of Christopher Nolan's INCEPTION, I feel a surge of some adrenaline rush when I watch this trailer,so weird and twisted, Nolan will never fails again in this movie and now I'm excited to watch it this July 16, 2010 in IMAX.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents the teaser trailer for INCEPTION. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film is a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.

Thor, Capt America classic and Nick Fury joins Marvel Universe toyline

I think this is the big sign for me to join the bandwagon in collecting 3.75" toy line of Marvel Universe. It seems that this will be the new replacement of toy scale after Marvel Legends, not too pricey and its easy to store and collect. I'm already 3-4 months late if I'm going to start collecting the small GI JOE scale size figure, but It's fun and easy to play small figures, although that the figure details are not clean and accurate, but we can say that "pwede na" to the small scale toy line.  Hasbro did a fine job here, and we know that the recession is still active, using less plastic and paint results to affordable price of the toy.




Nick Fury is now having a MU toy line, the sad part is, the figure is exclusive to be given FREE to subscribers of Marvel's digital comics. The figure includes anti-Skrull gun rifles.

And for the new wave, Marvel releases images for the 2010 toy line of MU. featuring Classic Captain America, Thor, Black Widow and Luke Cage. ( more pics below)

Looking at some toy display cabinets

I'm planning now to fix and re-arrange my toys inside the display cabinet, and because of more toys are coming in, the cabinet is starting to crowded and full of toys, collectibles are increasing so fast and also my fast food toys from Jollibee are too many already, so my plan for the start of the year is to re-arrange and and expand my toy display cabinet, but the problem is that I don't live in my own house, the expansion of the display is impossible, so my plan is to keep other collectibles and display the new and bigger toys.

I research online via flickr and other sites and saw other collector's style in displaying their collectibles in different toy cabinets, loose and mint in box figures are inside and how they manage to store those big toys and boxes. I want to have strobe light installed in my cabinet, but i'm afraid that the light can damage more on the toy's paint and i don't want to keep the light open 24 hours a day, so my plan is try my best on how to expand it inside the room.

Call of Duty : Roads to Victory PSP game

I'm now playing this FPS (first person shooter) game in my PSP, although the game is already 2 years old, I didn't think twice and because I'm a Call of Duty game fan and need to play all kinds of versions. I started playing this in the Nintendo Wii and it drive me crazy and screaming while I got scared to face some German soldiers, there are new games like the Modern Warfare for PC, but I'm waiting to have my own Wii game in the future, but for now, let's play and shoot like soldier here in mg PSP. I can bring it anywhere and shoot enemy soldiers on my way home.

Many people say that this game sucks, but I still like it and you won't say something bad if you are a fan, at least try it and you know that the graphics and design for the PSP is not actually the same for PC and gaming consoles. The game is much similar in our game consoles, be a soldier, practice shooting, start the mission, finish the objective of the mission, protect your comrades, capture enemy bases. But here in the PSP there are new stuff to see and play like you can play different allies, after USA, you can play under Canada and then British. (read more below)



The most enjoyable part of the game is using those machine guns while you are onboard a bomber plane, it was like Star Wars meets Sky Destroyer, your commander will instruct you on where you can position yourself as a nose gunner, belly gunner and tail gunner, then get busy shooting enemy war planes coming in your way and then protect your co-bomber in getting hit as your mission is to bomb an area of the enemy.


the control of the game in the PSP is difficult at the start, but you can get use to it after a few hours, but this game needs a lot of experience in using lots of PSP buttons, as you might get lost on the way and press the wrong button, you can customize your buttons in the option menu. Targeting is in automatic, you can stride and place the target tracker into the enemy and it will automatically lock it for you.


weapons are still the same, you can grab weapons from dead enemies and use it, sniper rifle is still the best weapon, and on the game I haven't encountered yet the super machine gun just like in Wii.

The game is not built for popularity in graphics or effects, but the game is built for FPS and call of duty fans.

Blue Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse of January 1, 2010 (Philippines)

Everyone got confused days ago about the news of this so called Blue Moon, everyone thought that the moon will turn color blue. I'm monitoring the news few days ago and got this photo of the Blue moon that occurred on December 31, 2009 and January 1, 2010. December 2009 and January 2010 will have 2 full moon in a month, they call it Blue Moon because it is very rare to have 2 full moon in one month. There are some explanations here in this news Celestial rarity: 2 blue moons for RP in 2010

There is a possibility that the moon can be colored blue, the case will be, if a volcanic dust covered the moon during a volcanic eruption. But to other countries, the Blue Moon is colored Orange.

I used my Olymupus E520 dslr with 40-150mm lenses.

But we have two heavenly bodies event that hour of New Year's Eve, we also have the Partial lunar eclipse of our moon, which the small shadow of the Earth will cover some parts of our moon. I was planning to have a photo of it this morning at 3am, but decided to sleep after our New Years party, there are lots of firecrackers and rocket fire crackers in our area, it's dangerous to go outside in that hour. But I'm glad that my friend Ronald Guanzon took a photo of the partial lunar eclipse event. (check the lunar photo below)
