A friend recently forwarded an email to me about some so-called price discrepancies of certain items that are being sold in the supermarket chain of SM. It was an alarming case and I’m glad that someone saw this and reported it directly to the management. I think it’s better to report complaints like this directly, instead of just complaining, as this will help solve the problems with the management’s actions.
Just recently, I’ve seen this issue being discussed in an Inquirer.Net article and I’m glad to find out that SM is doing something with the calls that they have been receiving. They are actually willing to receive reports from those who have experienced such incident in order to accommodate the problem properly.
Buying stuff from the grocery and lining up in the long line is a hassle, and sometimes we forget already to check the receipt and prices of the items if they will watch, but what if you have a more than 50 items in the basket, its hard to monitor it and it’s a waste of time to double check it.
This case of price discrepancies is a rare case and because the price tag will be read by the machine, it could be that the code being inputted in the machine went wrong and should be double checked.
SM is responding fast and doing something to solve the problem and avoid it to happen again, if you encounter the price changes, please check the receipt for the contact number and call the customer service to assist you better for exchange and returns of items you bought.
Here’s the article from Inquirer: http://lifestyle.inquirer.net/homeandentertaining/homeandentertaining/view/20100901-289818/Credit-card-widening-the-divide-between-haves-and-have-nots
so for this week, @tonyocruz announces that #sentisabado is now available to post anywhere and outside twitter. yay! so here's my #sentisabado with the theme for food and fiesta in the early years or yester-years. Join #sentisabado in Facebook
1. Eating in Chonam restaurant (in Quiapo) with my family, I love their Pata tim and camaron. and in Wah Sun (formerly Sun Wah) eat our family dinner in a seasonal occasions.
2. I remember that we call the waiters in this mini resto in Luneta, and then my dad complained for the waiters not noticing us everytime we call them, then realized all of them are vocal and hearing impaired
3. Sundot kulangot - best P1 sweet in the bangketas, mini bamboo stem with sweet coconut jam inside
4. Junk food with free toy inside - I buy one, get the toy and throw away the junk food hahaha
5. Pancit habhab - in Lucban, Quezon, we visit our province in Quezon, so this is very common to me since the year 1980's and Serg chocolates, that expensive P5 pesos choco during my grade school years in UST
6. I cooked mongo for the first time in my life, I tasted it and theres no taste, no internet that time to check for recipe, I missed an ingredient for the taste, then I decided to pour a sinigang mix, then it tasted so good... sinigang na mongo ahhaha.
7. Eat tapsilog meal in Lola Ely's in Sta. Cruz Manila, I eat there everyday after school with my barkada and band mates after the long hours of IRC and band practice.
8. White Rabbit candy - we eat this with the white paper wrapper that melts in your mouth, I even tried eating the other White Rabbit, looks fake, but the white wrapper never melts.
9. Order and deliver food by Hot Pack in Sampaloc Manila. A guy riding a bike will deliver your food at home. The Lemon Chicken soy tastes good. Also in Caloocan City, we order food in Boy Ching Restaurant.
10. I can't forget who told me to go line up in that Burger Machine stand in corner of Dimasalang and Laon Laan in Sampaloc Manila. They did some promo thing that you can buy one and take one burger for free. There was a long line and people mobbed the burger stand the whole night.
1. I went to a local fiesta near our home in Governor Forbes st. and theres this program on stage, the host advertised that the cast of Thats Entertainment will be there, then we waited, we watch silly performance, comedy, and magic, then after 3am, no celebrities went there.
2. I love the fiesta of San Isidro in my province, during the 1990's, me and my cousin join the mob in catching fruits, food, hats, etc. that was thrown to us by the people who decorated their homes with harvest. Sometimes I even dodged a Buko and Pineapple when they throw it away.
3. A guy performs a sword trick on stage during a fiesta, he swallowed the sword, that was 3 swords, and when he pulled the sword out of his throat, lots of saliva spits out and some audiences in front got wet hahaha
4. 1989 - my playmates joined the "pataasan ng ihi contest" I didnt joined..it was gross to see them piss around infront of many people. I think the prize is a P10.
5. an uncle of mine is wearing this HIGANTE costume for a local fiesta, they march and paraded around town, my little cousin was there at the crowd watching the parade, we laugh and joked around to tease him and make him afraid of the HIGANTE mascot thing, he bravely said that he is not scared, then he didnt know that one of the HIGANTE under it is our uncle, he approached our little cousin and stopped infront of me and took a bow, my little cousin cried and rans away, then we all laughed hahaha.
6. In our town fiesta in Sampalok, Quezon, we visit all of our relatives and family friends the whole day, then we eat everytime we visit, then realized all of them have the same food on the table - menudo, caldereta, pastel, puto seko, broas and coca cola.
7. Ryan Orosco, a friend, joined with us in a family fiesta in the province, after arriving in our town, me and my sister joked around and pretended to be aswangs, and we will eat Ryan at night hahahaha, the joke was inspired from that Shake, Rattle and Roll movie feat. Manily Reynes.
8. I hate going to fiesta of Antipolo during my early years, because we need to walk up and down on that road going to the church. But I love the food stands there. And I always buy that red horse made of paper mache.
9. Fiesta of Quiapo, we visit this every year, mom and dad always bring us there and attend the mass at around 5am, then eat somewhere in the food stalls in the streets, sometimes get lucky if Jollibee is open.
10. Fiesta in Santolan, Pasig is a fun town fiesta, they close the road for a week, then lots of program and activities for the entire week, and on Sunday, lots of people and even strangers will knock on the door and ask for fiesta money or food. weird.. ganun pala dun.
check out more here at Lace's blog Baby: Reading Soft Books
Before I go to bed at 4:30am, I like to share this photo that I took this afternoon showing Lace and Ashton in a reading session. We bought this cloth book and its great to see that baby Ash is looking at it whenever he's having a quiet time. Lace carries Ash and then they did a story book moment, As I aimed the Nokia camera phone infront of them to take a shot, Ash always looks at me and give a funny grin heheh.
Check out my pinoy komiks collection that will be featured in Unang Hirit, they also interviewed me and its all about me having the fun collecting and also reading pinoy komiks, they also asked my comment about Manny Villar's pinoy comics bill - "THE KOMIKS INDUSTRY ACT of 2007" and my observation on the evolution of pinoy comics, all of this will be featured in the news section of Unang Hirit on Wednesday, I heard Carlo J. Caparas was interviewed too, and I hope that the bill will be passed, because the comics creator will have lots of benefits like - tax exemption in purchasing materials for creating komiks.
Gerry Alanguilan posted in his blog about his views on the senate bill for komiks last 2009,
you can read it here at http://gerry.alanguilan.com/archives/1227
also a copy of the bill is posted there, which you can download it
or you can also view the bill in pdf below.
I was busy this evening and having a meeting in Figaro and I enjoyed eating my corned beef and rice meal, then I found this GMA 7 ID inside my cargo shorts pocket, and it was a shock to discover that I left my valid ID in their studio at the guard's desk. Badtrip super after finding out and I was so comfortable going to my meeting venue hours ago, because the GMA 7 reporters gave me a free ride to their van going to my next destination, I got the idea to go back to their studio and claim my ID after my meeting. But its already late night and Its a fool to myself to go back there and let the comfy moments go away.
So I decided to pick up my ID and return this visitors ID next week, I txted Ross, reporter/segment producer, and informed her about this carelessness and mentioned I will pick it up, I reported it to her and let the guards know that I'm already out of their building and brought their visitors ID by mistake, my target day is to pick it up on Monday, but I forgot that I will be out of town on that day, so I'll sched it on a Tuesday... argghhhhhh talk about major major hassle.
I will never put any visitor's ID in my pocket ever again..this is the first time it happened, and I usually pin the ID to my shorts, so that I wont forget it.
(the troll toy is owned by Lace.)
I went to Edsa Shangrila after my tv interview in GMA 7 news and got to attend a meeting with Saab Magalona and the FMCC crew, I was with the Orange Magazine team and this all about the upcoming new designs of shirts for FMCC and also an upcoming project that we are working on for October 2010. This will be exciting because we are not talking only about new products, but also events. It was a great meeting with Saab, my 3rd time to meet her, but this meet up is not a fan meet up and the meeting is about doing a collab for Orange Magazine and FMCC, it will be a fun month for October.
Also got heads up that I will be giving away some cool FMCC shirts here in my blog, just stay tuned and give me some time to work on some stuff for FMCC, I have one here at home, and got it from the launch of Orange Magazine months ago, I love the label that says "Francis M is still number 1" although an old design, but old designs are the rarest, so according to FMCC that they will be releasing new and awesome designs and I heard an international comic book artist did some design jobs for this new shirt.. astig di ba?!
Next week it will be a busy day as I will work on something for Orange Mag and also for FMCC, yeah expect some teasers here in my blog.
check out their shirts and branches
hope you can email me right away at azrael@gmail . com
and claim your ticket from me hours before the show starts
thanks everyone for joining our contest, my next ticket giveaway for the contest is for the concert of Adam Lambert, so stay tuned.
the ticket winner didn't contacted me, so I gave it to the next winner,
but the person didnt contacted me too, so I guess I will give this ticket to someone else

I just got this tip from a reliable source and heard that Manny Villar will take step in helping our Filipino comics industry (or community, or whatever it is called). According to the one that gave the tip, this is related to some bill about helping and take care of our Filipino comics, artists and arts. I'm going to investigate and gather more information about it.
I did post this info in my other networks and other got a negative reaction on Manny Villar's appearance as the new face for helping our Pinoy comics, and I just got a conversation with a respected and veteran comic artist and he said that its good that someone will work on this more better than Carlo Caparas.
I'll be having a tv interview later in GMA7 about pinoy comics and I'm bringing in some of the comics I bought and collected from our friends in the mainstream and indie comics community, I'm not sure on what show, and I know it is a recorded tv interview for a news or show in GMA7. I even heard that they will also interview Manny Villar to shed more light about this news and get Carlo Caparas' reaction or comment. I just wished that Manny can do it the right way without Carlo's presence, because everyone was disappointed with Carlo's action and promise after his speech at the 2007's Komics Kongress, which I was voted to be part of that committee for the community as the assistant chairman for the committee of Careers and Enhancement, and now the committee no longer existed...weird.
what do you guys think??? Manny FTW?

my coverage: a day in Autocross Track Day Test Drive Experience with Unionbank and C! in Clark Intl SpeedwayTweet
I was here at the AUTOCROSS: Track Day Test Drive Experience that was held in Clark International Speedway, this event is a culmination of Unionbank's Grand Free Autocross promo at C!'s 2010 Annual Buyers Guide. Winners of the promo received 20k pesos in cash and a P25k cash off on their auto loan (wohhhhh!!!) I saw them received the award and happy that even a youngester driver with a student drivers license wins one and got a chance to have a test drive and driving lesson and hop on on a hot yellow Genesis sports car.
Me and my fellow motoring bloggers -Dante, Arpee, Jeff and accompanied by the Yehey team duo Lazlo and Kankan, we went to Clark early in the morning and enjoyed looking at hot cars, this time they move and runs like a thunder and lightning, this is the most fun car show event that I attended, minus the sexy car show babes. But its okay, we looked around and tried to drive the Mitsubishi ASX with Jeff and saw Arpee and Dante did a dynamic duo and tested a Subaru, astig!

In the film, Liz Gilbert (Roberts) is a modern woman on a quest to marvel at and travel the world while rediscovering and reconnecting with her true inner self. At a crossroads after a divorce, Gilbert takes a year-long sabbatical from her job and uncharacteristically steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life. In her wondrous and exotic travels, she experiences the simple pleasure of eating in Italy, the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of love in Bali.

The film follows Soren (voice of Jim Sturgess), a young owl enthralled by his father’s epic stories of the Guardians of Ga’ Hoole, a mythic band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones. While Soren dreams of someday joining his heroes, his older brother, Kludd (voice of Ryan Kwanten), scoffs at the notion, and yearns to hunt, fly and steal his father’s favor from his younger sibling. But Kludd’s jealousy has terrible consequences—causing both owlets to fall from their treetop home and right into the talons of the Pure Ones.
