
Here's my coverage of the Pilipinas Kay Ganda launching. The event was held in Oceana, San Miguel by the bay, SM Mall of Asia complex. The event was attended by city officials, tourism organizations, media, press, bloggers and our Vice President Binay. This is to launch the new slogan and brand of our Philippines that will be use in marketing it to other countries by our Department of Tourism. Let's bid farewell to "Wow Philippines" and let's welcome "Pilipinas Kay Ganda!"

I got a short talk with our DOT secretary Alberto Lim and his Usec. Vicente R. Romano III after the big unveiling, Sec. Lim asked me if I like the idea and if it is beautiful, I replied that we will support it and we are here to support it. Honestly, I didnt like it in the first place as the slogan was released via the internet but then after hearing sec. Lim's speech and Usec. Vicente R. Romano III , I finally understand what they want to deliver and show, I know its hard to market it, but I know it will work due to their study, research and survey, and as other countries used their own native tongue in describing their own land.

"That's why I'd like to invite all of you to join hands and rally behind the brand we are about to reveal. Together, let's make the brand not only believable, but also real. After all, no one can argue that our motherland is beautiful, And its the only one we have" - Lim
