Bayer Rogin-E Last Man Running 2 winner - Super Mario and Army girl

Few months ago, we blogged about this Bayer Rogin E Last Man Running 2 event, The mechanics of this running event is that the runners will be asked to run for another lap after reaching the finish line. Running for 6 hours is not a joke, and oh, add another hour for the last man running. We received a report that at the start of the 7th hour, few runners try to move forward, but only one man made it and he is dubbed as the Super Mario of the last man running.

Super Mario aka Mario Maglinao won the running event of this year's Rogin-E Last Man Running 2, a true blood Bicolano and veteran marathon runner and also a hard core distance runner, grabbed the bag of prize with an all expense paid trip to China and to participate in the world renowed - Great Wall Marathon, located at the Great Wall of China.

Rogin-E Last Man Running is now considered as the country's most physically demanding and merciless ultra marathons, distance runners really battle it out and tested their endurance and patience to run non stop.

Also, for the women's category, we have the Last Woman Running, and the winner of that category is Pvt. Ellen Tolentino of the Philippine Army, she won P20,000 pesos as prize for that special category. The common race for recreational runners who signed up for 5k and 10k was asked by the organizers if they are willing to run for more, adding 2k more for 5k and 4k for 10k, as part of Last Man Running challenge.... "can you go for another round?"

Its a fun running event for this year, and it challenge you if you can take another run and spin to the pavement for some round. Race organizer, Bayer, shared that there are more participant for 2012 compare from last year's race, I think the upcoming race for next year will be more. So if you want to join next year, train hard and try running for straight 7 hours and ask yourself if you can be the next Last Man Running 3 for 2013.

Congratulations to Super Mario, Pvt. Ellen, to all runners and to Bayer for having a successful and safe run event.

Okay, let's gear now for LMR 3 for 2013.
