We love to use these Filipino slangs as reaction to any conversation or just to annoy the one we are talking to, its also a way of being funny and as a sport when it comes to hitting a joke or breaking some rules. Our country uses 11 recognized languages and there's 175 dialects in all islands of the Philippines. You won’t find this category in books, but you’ll hear the series of catchphrases on the streets, from local television shows to just about anywhere where the influences of media exist.

We use these words as our freedom of expression, its a mix of Taglish or tagalog word and english that don’t follow a standardized set of rules. In this age of digital and social media, the Filipino flair is easily being picked up because its heavily used in different modes of social media.

In WeChat, you can now also see these fun words in a form of WeChat stickers, you can use them by downloading it at the Sticker Gallery, just go to WeChat’s Sticker Gallery by clicking on ME > STICKER GALLERY.
There are 16 colorful animated stickers that reflect the humor, wit, candor and inventiveness that Filipinos apply to such slangs. Fox example, if you are late to attend your class or meeting, you can easily send out a message to your group with a sticker of “Bahala na si Batman”, or you can easily post a sticker “Boom!” to break out a conversation or showing a success move. Instead of saying good luck to your friend, you can send her a “Push mo yan!” sticker or “Gorabels!”

Fun di ba? I just hope that they add the Boom Panes!!! slang
