YAMAHA TRICITY

Yamaha launches a new design of scooter bikes that made waves in Japan, Thailand and Europe, and recently they launched it also here in the Philippines. Yamaha Tricity is a three wheeled scooter bike – two front wheels and one rear wheel that was created to fit the urban lifestyle of the city trendsetter.

Many were curious on how will a Yamaha Tricity survive in our road, but when you compare the smooth roads in Japan, the rough roads in Thailand and the bumpy brick roads in Europe, we know that this three wheel Yamaha Tricity can perform better too in our smooth and rough road made up of cement and asphalt.

THE DESIGN PHILOSOPHY OF YAMAHA
The Yamaha Tricity was conceptualized with the idea of being "Smarrt for All", its a smart bike that can take a lot of road rash but will give you a comfortable ride even on a bumpy road. The creation of the Yamaha Tricity is also from Yamaha's design philosophy - Refined Dynamism, The design elements of the machine reflect its modernity and elegance, giving an impression of dynamic movement, a look of confident intelligence that beautifully envelops the rider.

LEANING MULTI WHEEL MECHANISM
The feature point of this New Commuter Vehicle is the LMW mechanism or Leaning Multi Wheel, a mechanism that allows two front wheels to deal with changes in different road surfaces while keeping both tires in contact with the road as it leans. Its function is perfected because of the harmonious integration of 2 key systems.

The LMW provides a unique experience during each ride that is felt in every turn; any angle; surpassing the standards of style, performance, and technological innovation.

THE TEST DRIVE EVENT

Yamaha invited some celebrities to try and test drive the new Yamaha Tricity. At the event we met Matteo Guidicelli and Jessy Mendiola tried the Yamaha Tricity drive course in SM Mall of Asia. Matteo shared to us that the ride is not that bumpy when they hit the bump road in the course.

Because the front two wheels performed separately when hitting the bumps, the first wheel went up and it still gave a balanced comfort to the rider because the other wheel is still on the flat ground.
