sorry for the late blog post, but check out the coverage I have for you all about "The Season of Indulgence Exhibit" event by Unilever Food Solution and this new partner of making desserts, "Carte d’Or". The Carte d’Or is available only at Puregold grocery.
This Christmas is set to be the sweetest time of the year with The Season of Indulgence Exhibit. The brainchild of Carte d’Or, SM Hypermart, and SM Mall of Asia, the one-day Exhibit will showcase the most imaginative Western, Asian, and Filipino desserts.
Ten (10) caterers from the Food Caterer Association of the Philippines will pit their creativity against each other as they are challenged to bring to life the theme of “indulgence” using two or more Carte d’Or Western Dessert Variants (Pannacota, Chocolate Mousse, Crème Brulee and Chocolate Lava). To make the challenge even more exciting, Knorr Lime Powder must be added as a garnish to the final dessert.

The first ten caterers to register will be the official challengers and exhibitors. Each contestant is invited to let their imaginations run wild and create as many indulgent desserts as they can, from buffet-style dessert tables to plated ensembles. Besides earning bragging rights among fellow caterers for their creativity, the winning entry will be awarded the title of Best Dessert and a free trip to Hong Kong.

Our Pannacotta, Chocolate Mousse, Crème Brulee and Chocolate Lava dessert bases truly provide foodservice professionals a springboard for their imagination. Because our Carte d’Or Western Desserts significantly minimizes the length of time it takes to prepare such difficult creations like Crème Brulee, a chef or caterer will have more time to focus on the best ways to express his artistry and creativity.”

Final entries was showcased last Friday, December 4, 2009 from 8am to 10pm at SM Mall of Asia.
