The Walking Dead opens last Halloween Day and it was the most talked about original series based on a comic book by Robert Kirkman. Zombies are now stars on TV and in the US it now captures a 5.3 million of viewers after its debut and then garnered a 3.6 million viewers among adults aged 18-49 and consiered The Walking Dead as the highest cable series of 2010.
Here in the Philippines we have also our own growing numbers of zombie and Walking Dead fans and we got our own locao premiere here when it was aired on a road block broadcast through FX(Sky Cable Channel 156), Fox Channel, Star World and Channel V, and that was aired after 5 days of the US premiere. And now we have The Walking Dead tv series that airs every Friday at 11pm on FX. (more below)
The Walking Dead tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors in Atlanta who constantly travel in search of a safe and secure home. The group is led by police officer Rick Grimes who wakes up from a coma only to find a world overrun by zombies. Stars Andrew Lincoln (This Life, Gangster No. 1) as Rick Grimes, Sarah Wayne Callies (Prison Break) as Rick’s wife Lori, Chandler Riggs as Rick’s son Carl, and Jon Bernthal (The Pacific, Eastwick) as Rick’s police partner Shane Walsh.
The cast also includes Laurie Holden (The X-Files) and Emma Bell (Ghost Whisperer) as sisters Andrea and Amy, Jeffrey de Munn (Citizen X, The Shawshank Redemption) as retiree Dale, and Steven Yeun (The Big Bang Theory) as teenager Glenn.

Guts (Nov. 12). Rick unknowingly causes a group of survivors to be trapped by walkers. The group dynamic devolves from accusations to violence, as Rick must confront an enemy far more dangerous than the undead.
Tell It to The Frogs (Nov. 19). Rick makes a decision to go back to Atlanta to retrieve the bag of guns and save a man’s life. Lori and Shane must deal with the surprising return of someone they thought was dead.
Vatos (Nov. 26). Rick’s mission to Atlanta is jeopardized when things go awry. Jim becomes unhinged in camp.
Wildfire (Dec. 3). Rick leads the group to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) after the attack. Jim must make a terrible life and death decision.
TS-19 (Dec. 10). Rick and the group are allowed into the CDC by a strange doctor. But all is not what it seems in their newfound haven.
