A night of music, art and fun will run for the 2nd time here in Manila as Hennessy Artistry Manila event will have another 2nd year for their global art of mixing and pairing people, artist and world’s best cognac in one universe that characterizes mixability. The 2nd event is called Halo and the event will be tonight November 11, 2011 at the Opus Lounge in Resorts World Manila. Two international DJ - American DJ Andy Caldwell and Australian DJ Sky Nellor will play along with our local DJ - veteran DJ Manolet Dario, Sinosikat vocalist Kat Aggarrado and R&B Rock artist Bea Tantoco, the big event wil be hosted by VJ Cliff Ho of Channel V and together celebrated with Tim Yap to keep the party rocking and model DJ group Zombettes to keep the party go on till moon down.
Hennessy Artistry Manila is happening around the globe and its been around years ago and here we have our own event for its 2nd year, most active event happening is in Singapore, Malaysia and in the USA, I’m so glad that we have another round here in Manila and there’s a great improvement on the theme and the big campaign of Hennessy for the mixing of drinks, art, music and character of people in different part of the world.
Last year we experience a mix and collaboration of DJ and rock bands at the NBC Tent, but this time for 2011, we will see and hear and also dance to the mix music prepared by our local and international DJ, as I heard that they will show a surprise collaboration with each other and not only to DJ but to other musicians and artists, they didn’t spilled the beans to us about the performance but I know it will be a hit and will surprise everyone for the new music that they will hear and comment that “hey! That music can blend in to that artist”
I have met the international DJ – DJ Andy and Sky, I’m very impressed that they are so much excited for this event, and also goes to our veteran DJ Manolet, I’m very impressed and also inspired on his talk yesterday as he mentioned that he started as a DJ naturally, from buying vinyl records to cassette tapes up to days of club mixing and mobile and now in to a full time DJ, he also mentioned to me that DJ don’t retire, because music is their life and blood, when I heard that I got a big chance to continue in being DJ (me being a frustrated one and since high school years). DJ Manolet told us that we pinoys are very shy and spoiled when it comes to clubbing and listening to DJ music, I agree to that, I don’t get the idea why we are like that, but he said that Philippines is much better compare to other countries that he performed, to keep on the people dancing, all our DJ will do their best to stomp the feet of the people and let the party start till morning. DJ Sky is so beautiful and I didn't expected that she's a big artist with a Hollywood effect, I'm curious on how she will play tonight and also for DJ Andy, this event captured my interest to check out our 3 DJs, Andy, Sky and Manolet, I'm an instant fan after the press con meet up yesterday, I'm going to start hunting for mp3 later when I get home..hope they have an official website or FB page for each DJ.
There will be lots of activity happening at the Hennesy Artistry Manila, there are two kinds of venue and ticket holders will get a chance to party on two venues, one venue will be inside the Opus Lounge, as I heard that will be the VIP area ( I think all tickets are in VIP), while the other venue will be at the event center in the hall outside Opus, there will be lots of activity happening there, not just DJ music, but also bands, this will give the feel to people on the art of global mixing and changing your character in listening to different type of music. I’m also interested to learn on how to DJ, there will be a DJ learning session happening in that area and I will be there to check it out.
I’m excited and I want to know how Hennessy Artistry Manila will inspire everyone for one night.

Kat Agarrado
For vocalist Kat Agarrado, the term versatile is a huge understatement. Performing since she was 17, her soulful voice can go from genre to genre including hip-hop, R&B, jazz, standards, blues, classic rock and electronic music.
Best known for heading Pinoy Soul group Sinosikat?, the beautiful Kat’s sensitive performance never fails to bring down the house.
Bea Tantoco
Bea Tantoco is right now’s artist to watch. Singing everything from Kim Carnes to Artful Dodger to her favorite, Alicia Keys, this vibrant up and comer has been making a name for her self in the city’s top venues. Her husky rock and roll tone combined with R&B sensibilities are the signatures of this rising star.
Andy Caldwell
Over 14 years, Los Angeles-based Andy Caldwell’s career has covered every facet of the recording business. He’s a Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer, remixer, DJ, label owner and even a classically trained pianist and trumpeter.
Headlining for crowds as big as 70,000, this superstar DJ’s brand of electro, chill, house, soulful house, deep house and funky house have been featured on releases by Hed Kandi, Vendetta and Ministry of Sound to name just a few.
