Dear friends from various Philippine arts & culture communities,
I am freelance writer and Freelance Writers' Guild of the Philippines member Pauline Apilado. I'm extending a warm invitation to all of you to join us freelance writers in helping rebuild the school & community libraries destroyed in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City areas heavily affected by Tropical Storm Sendong.
If you or your family & friends have children's books (both textbooks and storybooks) & supplies you can donate to my writers' group, the FWGP will accept and collect these until Wednesday (February 29) at designated drop-off points in Quezon City (Bookay-Ukay at 55 Maginhawa st. and FWGP Founder Ime Morales' West Ave. house), Makati at Manila.
All the important details of our Sendong Drive can be read on the attached e-poster (the original deadline of January 28 was changed to February 29). You may also send your inquiries to and/or coordinate with FWGP Executive Committee Members Ime Morales, Jofti Villena Delizo and Teena Estrada (their contact details are also on the e-poster).
Let's go ahead and help rebuild the school libraries of our children in CdO & Iligan! Kindly please also share this last call for donations with your friends & contacts so we can gather more books & supplies for our kids.
Many, many thanks to all of you partners in nation building through the development of Philippine arts & culture!
Pau
