I'm not a fan or a music fanatic of this kind of music style or the name Astor Piazzolla is not familiar to me. But when I googled his name and found a couple of videos in YouTube, I just got to fall in love with the music and style...its the music that I like to hear with lots of strings and keys.
Astor Piazolla is the Father of Tango Nuevo. Also featured at the concert is Mr. Gladwin Pantastico, a Filipino classical guitar as part of the international crew.

¡PIAZZOLLA! Not
Only Tango”, for two nights only on April 5 and 6 at the RCBC PLAZA, Makati
City. It will feature an ensemble of internationally acclaimed artists from
different parts of the world, including the Philippines.
This is a spin-off from
their successful performance in Singapore.
This dance and musical concert consists of creatively choreographed movement
and music by Ástor Piazzolla, best known as the father of the
Tango
Nuevo, which includes his famous works “Oblivion”, “Libertango” and “Four
Seasons”
Ástor Pantaleón Piazzolla, (1921 –1992) was an Argentine tango
composer and a virtuoso bandoneonist. By incorporating elements from jazz and
classical music into tango, he reshaped the traditional tango into an
interesting and popular mold in the genre called
tango nuevo. Piazzolla,
The most important composer of this style, revolutionized tango in the 1950s,
introducing not only the fusion of different genres but blending new instruments
such as the electric guitar, or the fusion of electronic and acoustic sounds.
It is estimated that during Piazzolla’s prolific musical life, he wrote
around 3,000 pieces and recorded around 500. He has performed around the world,
including his September 1987 concert at the Central Park in New York. More than
20 years after Astor Piazzolla’s death, his music continues to leave people
surprised that so many popular tunes are attributed to the same composer.
