We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary here in Escolta restaurant inside Peninsula Manila Hotel, my wife ate here for 3 times already and she loves the food and also set up of the restaurant. I've been to Peninsula Manila for many times but I haven't seen yet their restaurant. I'm glad that my wife booked a reservation for us last Saturday. I know its a bit pricey but I'm happy with the turn out of the food they offered and also I like the interiors and ambiance of Escolta. There's no war zone in the buffet and we ate here with our comfy state.
Me and Lace
happy 3rd wedding anniversary to us!!! according to her FB message... "let's get fat together!" ahahahah
Escolta organized some special cuisine per day, for Saturday it was International buffet, for Monday - Italian, Tuesday - Japanese and Korean food, Wednesday - Escolta's best (3 for the price of two dinner only). I paid Php 1,450 for each for our lunch buffet.
We got a reservation after my wife placed a reservation request via email. And we got in with no hassle and a reserve table are prepared for us. The registration desk girl even asked us if we have a coupon, and we told we don't have any coupon, I think she refers to those group buying site couponings.
My first plate started in a blast, I dig the meat section of the buffet and some yummy gambas. I love the lamb and beef.
Seafood soup - my favorite dish of the day, It beats the laksa and tom yum soup in Marriott Hotel Manila, and this seafood soup, tastes like tom yum but without the spicy flavor.
After my 3 plate meal, I finished my lunch with three kinds of desserts
- Yohgurt ice cream
- Mascarpone
- Pistachio
The Mascarpone is a must try... felt like that I went into heavens after tasting it. Its the creamiest ice cream ever! I did a Google search and found that Mascarpone is a special cheese in Italy.
Wife took this pic when he saw me that I'm happy with the buffet hahahaha. Also my polo started to pop open, my belly got big again! super busog.
Let's check out the buffet area
here's their dessert buffet area

The ice cream section!

Boeuf bourguignon
beef with burgundy pearl onions and mushroom (also my favorite!!)
Makis
More food at the Asian section
The interiors and lighting are perfect inside Escolta, there's also an area if you want more sunlight in your table or you can also eat in a garden section of Escolta, we sat in the middle of the resto because we want a dimmer area for our lunch date. It was scorching hot outside the hotel at around 12nn, and I'm glad that the aircon is in full blast to cool everyone.
my lovely wife... yiheeeee!!
We also discovered that at around 2pm the afternoon buffet and tea started here at the lobby cafe of Peninsula Manila.
We went around the hotel and check the pool, I stayed an overnight before years ago and I haven't tried their pool yet. I think its time for us to try this hotel and book for the three of us. The pool looks great.
Here's another Dblcam app mug shot hahhahah
I just noticed that the front camera is too close infront of my nose.
