I
have two stories that I can share today about McDonald’s, first, is the National
Breakfast Day and, second, the gold standard kitchen of McDonald’s. I attended
an activity and tour in McDonald’s yesterday and I’m so excited to stand infront
of the frying pan and also their burger making machines, I giggled like a little
boy because there’s McDo food around me.
let’s start out story with this
National Breakfast Day
McDonald's breakfast meals are the best ever for a
fast food, I love their sandwiches especially the McMuffin, I’m a ham and egg
sandwich lover and I always order this with a hot coffee whenever I go to a McDo
drive thru store.
The big news here is that McDo Philippines will join
the McDonald’s National Breakfast Day this March 18, 2013. The event will be
participated by all McDonald’s store branches in Asia, Middle East and South
Africa. This will be the biggest breakfast activation to date—National Breakfast
Day. They will be giving away free McMuffins to everyone, and its an over 5
million McMuffins to giveaway in just one day, here in the Philippines, we will
have now another reason to say “Hooray for Today”, because 300,000 pcs of
McMuffins sandwich will be given away here in our country.
So how many
free sandwiches per branch?
That’s 1,000 free McMuffins only per branch
nationwide. All McDonald’s restaurants serving breakfast in the country will be
offering 1,000 delicious McMuffins from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM via dine-in,
take-out, or drive-thru.
So here’s how you can get the free
McMuffin
1. First, visit a McDo branch that serves breakfast meal from
5am-9am
2. When you order something, or just drop by there, they will give a
coupon for the National Breakfast Day
3. Show the coupon at the counter and
claim your free McMuffin meal
I also heard that some McDo branches that
serves breakfast meal will also join, just be there at around 8am-9m for the
coupon.
Luzon,
Visayas and Mindanao will super enjoy breakfast this March 18, 2013.
So set
your alarm early on March 18 and head over to the nearest McDonald’s breakfast
store from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM to celebrate the first National Breakfast Day and
enjoy your free McMuffin before going to school or work.
“McDonald’s
realizes the importance of breakfast and the role it plays in the lives of our
customers—seen with our ‘Hooray for Today’ campaign. With National Breakfast
Day, we are taking ‘Hooray for Today’ to a new level by giving Filipinos an
opportunity to taste just how good breakfast at McDonald’s really is. We are
very excited and have done lengthy preparations for this event. Our store crew
and kitchens are ready to serve our customers delicious McMuffin sandwiches on
Monday with a smile “ - McDonald’s President and CEO Kenneth Yang

Ohh
check out my yummy warm McDo Egg McMuffin, it is made of lightly grilled
Canadian bacon, freshly cracked Grade A egg and melty yummy American-style
cheese.
and for my 2nd story, we got an tour inside the Gold Standard
kitchen of McDonald’s
We
are here at the newly opened McDo ABS CBN Store, they showed to us their kitchen
facilities and also how they prepared our burgers and other meals.
Taking
photos of other machines are not allowed, so I just going to show you some
kitchen-wares that is seen from the counter. Here is the section and table for
creating our burgers, the metal surface is hot and it keeps all ingredients warm
and burgers stay fresh during the creation of your quarter pounder.
During
my photo taking, I spotted Jenny haahahah. I didn’t noticed her when I arrived
at the kitchen….ohh I arrived late pala
Here’s
one of the McDo staff preparing a nice cheeseburger McDo. Ohhhh
sarap!
All
of us are wearing hair nets during the tour.
I love their machine that cook
the eggs of our Egg McMuffin, and also I got a tip on how to store towels and
other cleaning materials that are used in every section of the store. McDo
follows a global standard on how to prepare our food, they follow lots of strict
rules in every corner of the kitchen just to make sure that the food they
prepare are nice and clean. The machines, lots of notes and visual reminders
helped a lot for the McDo staff to do the job every day for us, thanks McDo for
sharing this to us.
I got info that 50% of McDo branches nationwide are
now following and using the gold standard, the new machines and facilities are
the celebrity here. Newly opened branches are automatically upgraded to gold
standard kitchen, while other branches that are stucked to the old style are now
upgrading slowly.
So that’s the reason why other McDo branches are
closed and under renovation, because they are upgrading the kitchen for us. In
my observation, I think the renovation will go less than a month per
branch.
