The day 1 of 12th Toycon Philippines 2013 marks our 2nd year of organizing a retailer’s day or shall we call it comics and toy market for a day. The event occurs during a day before the main event. We just opened the exhibitors booth area for everyone so that they can shop or do business with our exhibitors. We have a around 100 plus merchants joined in our event so the shopping will take you almost a day if ever you’re looking for something or just waiting for incoming new stocks of toys.
Other event visitors go here to pick up their orders and others go here to check the items personally and place their orders. Our event really helped the boom of the hobby and collectible business for 12 years and we are happy to see more new merchants coming in to join Toycon Philippines, also these new merchants are the upcoming new toys and comics store for the Philippines. Most of the merchants started as collectors and hobbyist and then turned entrepreneurs. We’re happy on the turn out of our day 1 and I heard that the business is good and the sales are okay (according to one exhibitor).
I was not around during day 1, and I’m still in Hong Kong that time preparing for our flight at 6pm. I’m glad that everything went well.
