Bikram Yoga Alabang (BYA), the hottest fitness enclave in the Metro South, is celebrating its third anniversary this October. As a tradition, BYA will hold the BYA Shares the Love, an annual yoga for a cause event, on October 26 at the Corte de las Palmas, Alabang Town Center.
The event is themed "You and Yoga for a Difference", highlighting the real essence of the celebration which is to give back to the community through yoga. BYA takes its goals higher by supporting the "My Dream in a Shoebox" campaign this year.
My Dream in a Shoebox is a joint corporate social responsibility initiative of the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) and strategic marketing communications firm TeamAsia. It is a Christmas campaign that collects and distributes shoeboxes filled with school supplies to Filipino children and provides funding to help build public schools nationwide.
Individuals and groups interested to join are encouraged to bring their own shoebox filled with school supplies. Cash donations will also be accepted. "My Dream in a Shoebox is such a beautiful cause that we want to be part of it. This is the best way to celebrate our anniversary," said Ginger Diaz, studio director of BYA. "Yoga is something we can do together for an even greater purpose," she adds.
BYA Shares the Love is co-presented by Alabang Town Center and TeamAsia, in partnership with Unilab, Certified Calm, Global Academy, and Lightwater. This is open to BYA and non-BYA students. Registration starts at 9:30 AM.
