Sony Philippines unveiled the latest 2014 tv line up featuring the all new 4K technology in their Sony Bravia units. The 4K tech gives 3x more HD in the latest Sony Bravia, added with the 4K X-Reality PRO, TRILIMUNIOS Display, X-tended Dynamic Range PRO technology, ClearAudio+™, Long Duct Speakers, Bass Reflex Box Speaker, Social Viewing, internet capabilities, webcam, and One-Flick Remote.
It’s a beautiful tv set that will bring great contrast, brightest and realism, the super high resolution that was shot using a 4K camera helps provide great personal content for Sony Bravia 4K users and owners, I believe that this is the real future of TV, by having the highest resolution as possible and no fancy features. The 4K content will start roll out next and I’m interested to see how they will bring more DVD content shot or converted in 4K resolution.
via their news release – “Taking off from their initial launch of the very exclusive 84-inch 4K TV two years ago, Sony now offers a more dynamic range of this experience by introducing five new screen sizes fit for any type of personality and budget. This year, Sony is bringing to the market its X9000B Series available in an 85-inch screen size and its X8500B Series available in 70-inch, 65-inch, 55-inch and 49-inch screen sizes. All are capable to deliver the highest picture quality”

Mr. Otake is the new President and Managing Director for Sony Philippines, he said that he stays here in the Philippines in less than a month, and have experience the wrath of Typhoon Glenda and also some earthquakes, as he said, the country is just like what he felt too in Japan.
Here they explained that if you shot a content in a 4K camera, you can enjoy the 4K resolution via the new SONY Bravia 4K TV.

Sony Philippines introduces their partner directors that were invited to use a 4K gadget, like the camera and the smartphone. Directors Raz Dela Torre, Nico Faustino, Dino Narciso, and Paul Macasaet were there at the event to showcase their 4K content video that was shot and produce for this event, they shot the video without audio and then the music was provided live and performed live by the Sonata Strings group.
My favorite of all 4K produced content is done by Nico Faustino, he used a Sony Xperia Z2 to shoot food porn videos, all videos is in 4K and the food is like popping out of the screen as we watch it from the media table.
Film director and talented scriptwriter Raz De La Torre’s film piece was shot using the Sony’s 4K Handycam FDR-AX1 and AX100. The short film depicted nature in its barest elements. “With innovations like 4K technology, the stories that I create will be provided a medium on which they are appreciated the way I intended it for my audience. In 4K resolution, the images of my stories are displayed in a quality that's unparalleled by past technologies. Cinematography is better able to evoke mood with expanded shades of colours and the astonishing range of contrast. All this amplifies the ability of the filmmaker to tell his story because the images push the narrative with better effectiveness,” De La Torre said.

Here’s the fun portion of the event – demo area and comparison to BRAND S
here they showed to us a Street Map view with the Sony Bravia 4K TV, the street and resolution is good vs. Brand S dirty resolution (I call it dirty because there’s a lot of black smudges on the street map) I guess the 4K TV did a great job in converting the street map into its best resolution.

We also got a chance to try this One Flick Remote, there are few buttons, and to operate this is to flick, swipe and tap – just like a smartphone.

yeahhh this tv fooled me… I thought I was watching a recorded NBA game, but it’s a 3D CGI game from PS4. It displays super realistic images when you play a game.
Another awesome part is the sound quality of the Sony Bravia 4K. They didn’t installed any speakers to the TV and they just used the Sony Bravia 4K TV’s own speaker.
