They
gave out this postcard souvenir from last night’s Asian premiere of Rurouni
Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno at Cinema 9 of SM Megamall. I thought its only a post
card souvenir but then I later found out this morning that there’s an info at
the back that promotes the city of Kumamoto in Japan. It’s the city where they
film for the entire movie.
There’s the market, the theater and site where
Shishio hangs out with his henchmen. The buildings in Kumamoto were built during
the Meiji Era. The same era when Kenshin roams the city.
The post card
souvenir serves also to invite us to visit Kumamoto city, so if you are planning
to have a trip in Japan, then try book a trip to Kumamoto and enjoy the scenery,
relive the movie action scenes and also eat some food that is named after
Kenshin.
Shimata! they also promoted those tomatoes that Sanosuke ate
during the movie hahaha.
The
first sequel, “Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno” will open across the Philippines
on Aug. 20, 2014, to be followed by “Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends” on Sept.
24, 2014. Both films are distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
