Globe partners with HOOQ for video by demand service for the Philippines

Globe partners with HOOQ, it’s a video streaming, video download service and a video by demand platform that will cater to the new lifestyle of Filipinos this month. HOOQ is a new startup venture by Singtel, Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. Entertainment. Globe subscribers in the Philippines will enjoy watching movies, tv series and soon local tv content everywhere and any time with the use of their mobile devices and PC plus the power of HOOQ app and service.

10,000 video contents are available in HOOQ, it’s a combined forces of the movie library of Sony and Warner, and plus our local movie company Regal and two big TV stations – ABS CBN and GMA. The 10,000 videos is just a start and I heard that they will add more in the coming future. It’s a first in ASIA to have a video demand service and they say this is our very own NETFLIX of Asia.

For a price of PHP 199, you can now enjoy 5 video content for download and you can store it in your mobile devices and watch it anytime you want, but you can also enjoy the video stream and get the right quality based in your internet connection speed. Globe 4G is present nationwide, I’m sure that there will no problem in loading all the video content, but just make sure you have enough space for the downloadable video.

Globe is planning to add new promos and bundles for HOOQ, expect the promos for GOSURF and Globe Tattoo after the local activation.

The next movie premiere and tv pilot runs might start here in HOOQ for Asia, and I believe that this is just a start in adding another digital lifestyle in our life, there will be more and prepared to get hooked in HOOQ.
