Land Rover is the official chase vehicle for the crew of the hot air balloons, you can see these vehicles in action carrying a mini trailer with the basket of the balloon. 4 wheel drive vehicles are needed here because the ramp area is grassy and there are times that the ground is bumpy. The basket is a bit heavy so it needs more pull and push power to transport it to the designated ground area.
The Land Rover will chase the balloons after flight going to the landing area at the other side of the city.
We learned about this when we dropped by to Land Rover’s booth here in the event.

Thanks to Ana Zamudio for adopting us for some minutes at the Land Rover booth. She provided us a water to drink, resting area and a power outlet to charge our cameras.
We saw the chase crew parked here in Northwalk Clark, lots of Land Rover and other 4x4 brand parked infront of the mall. The crew ate their lunch here. Its funny that Ted’s Hyundai car turned dwarf after parking beside a Land Rover.
These 4x4 is a monster! and handsome too.
