SM Lifestyle Entertainment Inc. opens the new attraction and fully renovated spaces of Exploreum in SM Mall of Asia, it’s a science center for the kids and adults with a curious mind, a new way of enjoying science in a fun way via edutainment treatment and high tech facilities to help explains the real deal of science around us.
THE 8 GALLERIES OF EXPLOREUM
This 2015, they renovated and added more attractions plus a summer camp for the little scientist. Exploreum offers 118 child friendly interactive new exhibits, 100 interesting nuggets of information that comes from 8 major interactive galleries.

SCIENCE ON A SPHERE (SOS)SOS or the Science on a Sphere is a holographic visuals of the Earth projected on a 360 degrees sphere and it displays real time weather and also air traffic status of our planet. The SOS is a first in the Philippines developed by the US government's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA.
People can control the holographic visuals of the SOS via a tablet displayed at Exploreum, they can navigate through real time displays of the weather, air traffic, ocean activity, earthquake reports, holographic visuals of our moon, other planets and its satellite moons.
The SOS also serves as a display screens for animation and short videos. The SOS is the most highlighted high tech interactive exhibit in Exploreum. You'll see it first when you enter the venue.
DOME THEATER
The Dome theater in Exploreum is the only theater in the Philippines that can project a 180 degrees digital screen and advanced audio visual system. Powered by Digi-star 5, the world's best selling OS and system for full dome theaters.
The state of the art dome theater now shows short movies of anything that is science, and also non science topics. Today, they screen the short movie "STAR", its about the stars and how they live and die in the cosmos.
EXPLOREUM FIRST SUMMER CAMP
Involve your children in an entertaining and informative event this summer through the Exploreum Summer Camp 2015. Through this summer program, children will be exposed to practical science experiments that can help them appreciate how the world works. Designed for kids from 4-12 years old, this summer camp develops a learning experience for kids through fun and play. Filled with stimulating games and other exciting activities, the Summer Camp will run from May 8-10, 2015 in Exploreum at SM Mall of Asia.
SCIENCE QUIZ BEESMLEI will be hosting its first ever Science Quiz Bee: a nationwide inter-school competition that will focus on all branches of science. Running from July 2015 to February 2016, the winning school will take home a grand prize of 1 million pesos. Moreover, SMLEI will be giving away cash prices weekly, monthly, and quarterly in each of the qualifying competitions leading to the grand tournament. Students can also participate in the competition by setting up science exhibits in their respective schools.
