Neltex
is one of the most-visited brands at the Worldbex 2015. The company offered
quick educational tours to curious visitors, especially with their eye-catching
exhibit. A see-through tiny house that points out the important role of pipes,
from electrical, water to sewerage.
Come to think of it, pipe work is
only 3% of building an entire house but when one of your pipes is damaged or
does not work well – it can damage a huge percentage of your home. Experienced
home builders know well not too choose pipes based on price but quality. Neltex
pipes, as we were told can last up to 50 years! Compared to cheap PVC pipes that
easily breaks down when stepped on or through a short amount of time/stress.
Reason is, cheap pipes contain more fillers than resin.
A tour of Neltex
booth at Worldbex also reveals sustainable technologies such as their pipes that
are all HMF “heavy metal free” certified. We’re talking about lead, mercury and
the likes which are not only harmful to both end users and factory workers but
also to the ecosystem.
Someone from Neltex (Glady’s) also mentioned how
their company hopes to play a bigger role in nation building. For instance, DPWH
uses concrete pipes that only last two years. Now I know why we never see the
end of excavations that cause major traffic and headache. Imagine if the
government opts to use pipes like Neltex that lasts for 50 years and guaranteed
free of leakage because of their fitting technology.
It was mentioned in
passing that Neltex was contracted to provide products to major projects like
the City of Dreams, NAIA 3, and condominiums like those from SM Development
Corporation. Nation building and pipes? Who knew! But as with other things,
quality over quantity should be practiced as well as doing the best job when
given the opportunity.
Neltex is proudly a Filipino company with their
factory in the province of Cavite (where I live). It’s admirable how much
information and inspiration they could share during Worldbex. Their exhibit is
one of a kind but more than anything, the message of sustainability shines
bright.
