Kakao Talk has announced that the messenger service
will be releasing its latest feature, Open Chat. This service, which is
currently exclusive to Korea, will be available to the Philippines this coming
October 11, 2015.
The Open Chat service will allow Kakao Talk users to
interact with a wider group of people without giving up their account details.
The service also allows hosts to share their room’s link, which can be a viable
option for online sellers to connect with their customers in real
time.
Every
Open Chat rooms will have a maximum capacity of 500 people. Hosts can also
designate the maximum number of users that can participate in any given Open
Chat. And similar to MiRC chat rooms, hosts have the capacity to kick or ban
people in their rooms as well.
The October 11 rollout will update the iOS and Android versions of Kakao
Talk, so you can try it out there once it comes live.
