When I first tasted the durian coffee of Blugre Coffee in SM City Davao, it was the best experience for me to discover a fresh new taste that I want to taste everyday. The durian fruit and coffee mix of taste is something that you won't encounter on a regular day if you are away from Davao City.
I thought that I need to book a flight again in order to taste Blugre Coffee's famous durian coffee, but I totally geek out when I heard that they already opened a branch here in Manila, the 1st branch away from Davao City.
They opened their first Luzon branch here in Malacanang Complex, near Nagtahan gate, and then after a few days they opened 2 more branches, in BGC 26th street and in Manila East Arcade 2 Bldg. Don Hilario Cruz Ave, Taytay, Rizal, which serves also their main office for Luzon and barista school.
The formal opening happened last Feb 8, 2017 at Malacanang Complex, I also met the owners and learned that they are planning to open more branches in Manila, outside Manila and also in malls. (watch my vlog about it to know more...)
I haven't been to a stand alone store of Blugre Coffee in Davao City, but the owners - Gloria and Benjamin Cuaresma said that the version we have here in Manila is much modern and it blended on the theme structure around the city, for example in Malacanang Complex, they need to follow some building design in order to blend with the historical setting of the Malacanang Palace.
Their coffee beans came from different regions of our country and their durians are imported directed from Davao City, The owners are proud to say that Blugre Coffee is a Filipino product, we should patronize and support it because Blugre Coffee is the pioneer in coffee lifestyle and cafe store in the Mindanao region.
Blugre Coffee's famous hot beverage is the Durian Coffeecino, its a capuccino drink mix with durian fruit
The strong aroma and flavor of the coffee will blend and mix with the strong fruity scent of the durian food. Plus added more creamy texture and sweet taste when coffee and durian are mixed together.
In Davao City, I got to try their best seller the DuterTea, its a macha tea with durian fruit.
For me..its the best ever beverage here in Blugre Coffee. Dont leave the store if you haven't tried that.
For cold beverage, another best seller is the Durian Arctic Blast.
Durian Coffeecino is considered as the king of coffee drinks (if you are here in the Philippines), but I thought that the Alamid coffee is hard core, but Durian is easy to be loved and appreciated vs. Alamid coffee.

I geek out more whenever I see these machines.
Its my first time to taste the Durian Coffeecino, the Durian taste is much lesser than the DuterTea, I guess I will stick to a much stronger Durian flavor and order DuterTea instead. But if you want to add more Durian flavor to your coffee, just ask the barista to strengthen the Durian flavor.
I tried to replicate their Durian Coffeecino at home, by placing lots of Durian candies in my coffee, it was a fun mix but Im glad that Blugre Coffee is now here in Manila, no more DIY for me to enjoy a Durian coffee at home.

Blugre Coffee also sells some pastries and cakes. Better try their best selling Durian cheesecake, its one of the best cake with lots of explosive durian flavor.
