Ride the Love Train! - LRT 1 latest theme train this Valentine's Day

The officials of Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) unveiled their latest theme and gimmick for the upcoming Valentine's Day. The Love Train, a single LRT train is decorated each 3 cars with cute, colorful and romantic design to give good vibes to our commuters.

Passengers who are stressed in commuting. The Love Train will turn those frown faces into a smile, thanks to LRT 1 effort for making the passengers relax and comfy.

The Love Train is launched today Feb 12, 2020, in time for the love month. They are doing this for 4 years already and they always decorate one train with seasonal designs and wholesome images.

This time, they've installed some interactive games in every middle of the car of train. There's a love tik tak toe game, electric maze game, live acoustic band playing love songs, windows with love quotes and colorful backdrops for couples and the soon to be married.

We rode the train at 10am in Baclaran and its the first run of the Love Train. The LRT 1 management used the old train for their love train and I guess its the only train that get a major make over every season.

The designs are okay and cute, and it gave a vibe and feels like Im in a Dessert Museum after seeing those candy and donuts design at the first cart of the Love Train.

Catch the Love Train only here at LRT 1 train network.

If you rode it. Take a pic and post it in social media to bring good vibe in cyberspace and dont forget to add the hahstag:

SEE THE FLYING CARNIVAL 2020 IN CARMONA, CAVITE

For over two decades, the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, known as “The Weekend of Everything that Flies,” has been the most highly anticipated and longest-running sports aviation event in Asia. Over the years, it has stayed true to its longtime objectives: to spark interest in aviation; to instill discipline in young pilots; and to impart a spirit of volunteerism to the whole community.

Continuing to spread this advocacy across the Philippines, the organizers will be launching “The Flying Carnival 2020: A Weekend of Almost Everything that Flies,” a 3-day spectacle of hot air balloons, helicopters and air sport events, combined with aviation career seminars, fly markets, food booths and family entertainment! The event will be held at the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite on March 6-8, 2020.

Set in a more comfortable viewing space, spectators will be treated to the sight of early morning balloon flights followed by non-stop flying exhibitions – paragliding, skydiving, helicopter demonstrations, RC control line exhibitions and kite flying.

Visitors can wander through a carnival setting, with food booths and entertainment for the whole family. Aviation souvenirs and unique finds can be bought at the Fly Market, and the weekend evenings will be capped off by a magical hot air balloon nightglow and fireworks display.

Those considering a career in aviation can attend the Aviation Career Seminars to be given by renowned aviators and industry practitioners – Fighter pilots from the Philippine Air Force; Naval Air Group pilots from the Philippine Navy; a female captain from Cebu Pacific Air, and Air Traffic Controller from the Air Traffic Service. They will be joined by FAI World Record holder from Spain, Michel Gordillo; Hot Air Balloon pilot from the United Kingdom, Pete Bish; and Capt. Joy Roa of Asian Air Safari. The seminars will be available to Business Class ticket holders. Seminar attendees will be given a certificate of completion, and can enjoy meals and gain admission to the event.

Those who wish to experience the carnival in comfort can opt to get the First Class Ticket, which allows an all-access pass to the event, including meals, private viewing areas, and access to the aviation seminars and air-conditioned bazaar.

The event is co-presented by Okada Manila, the country’s ultra luxury integrated resort, and Rewards Circle. For tickets and other information, visit www.philballoonfest.net or stay up-to-date with event info by following @PIHABF on Facebook, and @philballoonfest on Instagram.

Qatar-based IBD stages forum for investors and entrepreneurs in Manila

The “i3 Forum”—held at the Okada Manila recently—is one of a series of business forums taking place in various cities around the world, building up to the IBD Summit slated for April 6-9, 2020 in Doha, Qatar. Manila is one of 30 cities in which the “i3 Forum” series is being conducted.

Yousif Al-Jaber, International Business Delegation (IBD) Chairman, explained “i3” stands for “Innovators, Investors and Influencers”, as the forum aims to provide a platform for entrepreneurs, investors and corporates to find investors, partners as well as access international markets for business expansion or exports.

“Our international investor network and the trust they place in us are our biggest assets,“ said Al-Jaber.

“Every city has certain key sectors in which they are globally competitive. The i3 Forum and IBD Summit gives them infrastructure to take these products and services to the larger global market,” commented Vineet C. Nambiar, who presented at the forum. He emphasized about a dedicated session exploring opportunities in the ASEAN region at the upcoming IBD Summit.

Leonardo Tabilog Jr., IBD Marketing and Communications Director added: “The I3 forum aspires to be a major annual anticipated event in the Manila business calendar; we’re getting bigger, bolder and better with each year and have already started preparations for next year's i3 Forum, as we appoint IBD ambassadors from the Philippines to help promote our initiative. “

“We are expecting five billion dollars worth of deals at the summit this year and have over 120 proposals from around the world already,” added IBD Projects and Finance Director Shamseer Hamza.

The main thrust of IBD is to provide an avenue for entrepreneurs to ideate, launch and scale ventures internationally by connecting prospective partners, investors and influencers.

These i3 Forums leading to the IBD Summit is a joint initiative by Mavericks365—a Delaware, U.S.-based international platform for ideas, innovation and creation with interests in co-working spaces and ecosystems—and Address Business Management, a Doha, Qatar-based end-to-end business management and consultancy firm. The summit is managed by Singapore-based event management firm XPlus International Pte Ltd.

The “i3 Forum” in Manila was attended by representatives of government agencies of the Philippines and Qatar, together with stakeholders from business sectors. Interaction at the forum was interesting and intimate as participants exchanged information about Philippine investment opportunities, global expansion opportunities, potential bilateral trade agreements, and many more.

Those who attended the Manila forum also learned from Francis Kong, an inspirational and motivational speaker on “ Going Global”; Diwa Guinigundo, Former Deputy Governor of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas; and Prof. Jay Bernardo of the ACE Center for Entrepreneurship and Management Education-Ateneo Masters in Entrepreneurship program.

7 Go-to Manila Churches for Visita Iglesia

As a dominantly Catholic country, one of our practices every Holy Week is Visita Iglesia. Traditionally, Catholics visit around 7 churches to pray, reflect, and honor the Blessed Sacrament during Holy Week. The visiting of churches is done to commemorate the suffering of Christ, as well as to meditate and ask for penance.
Here are churches within the Metro which you can visit this Holy Week:

1) Binondo Church

Start your journey in one of the oldest churches in Manila. Binondo Church is also known as Minor Basilica of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz and Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish. It was built by the Dominicans and is located in Binondo, Manila. It became a place of worship to converted Chinese Christians back in the day when the trade between Chinese and Filipinos started to increase. Today, a number of Binondo dwellers and curious tourists still visit the parish.

Nemi Miranda paintings featured in Conrad Manila and DOT “Of Art and Wine series”

Master painter Nemi Miranda aka Nemiranda of Angono, Rizal is known for his awesome gallery house in his home town and also the one responsible for the mural art in the walls of Edsa Shrine. I didn’t get a chance to meet him years ago when I visited his gallery house, When I arrived there it was closed and I think it was under renovation. I only see him on TV and on the internet featuring his works and news about him.
