I'm so tired today hahaha, and today is the day 3 aka last day of the toy fair as I blog this, and here is my report for the day 2.
I arrived in the venue and then I just forgot to bring the audio cd for the cosplay catwalk show, its a customized cd audio music for the background of the catwalk show, but then instead of buying a new cd, I immediately fired up my laptop and connect to the wifi network in the hall and download some cool clips that I will use for the show. I visited Super 8 and Tab's myspace and download my favorite track "New York City", and then I download tracks from the album Cyberia Mix, an OST from the anime Serial Experiements Lain, which I used the same bgm music during the 1st cosplay contest catwalk at the AnimeXplosion year 2000, then I found this remix of the Little drummer boy by Dense Modesto in my laptop, and other cool tunes from the OST of Initial D and Tokyo Drift. As I download some stuff, I was informed by Trixie, our person who handles tv stuff for ABS CBN, she just informed me that TV Patrol will be covering the live auction activities, so I told her that they can start filming because Cholo is already the host on stage, doing the live auction for the whole day, and I can't help him because I'm fixing the cosplay stuff, then Trixie told me that TV Patrol will shoot also some footages of the Cosplay foot parade. Then I texted Alma and the Juujiro team to stand by and be ready for a short assembly.
Then we did the foot parade from the basement up to the 5th floor, which is I know that is very tiring, I'm not sure if the cosplay models got tired parading, but I cheated and used the escalator in going up hahahaa, because I'm taking some photos for documenation and I suck taking photos without a flash. After the parade, I decided to start the cosplay catwalk show at 3:30pm, and instead of 4pm, because the traffic in the mall hall way and entrance of the event is getting crowded and we might experience some problems from the Megamall management, so I tell my team to stand by and lets do the catwalk show right away, after a few minutes on stage, I announced the assembly on the left side of the stage, but looking back, it should be on the right side of the stage hahhaha. hope they don't get confused in my announcement.
Then RG hosted the show and heated up the catwalk. But then I experienced some technical problems in the wire connection of the audio in my laptop, but after fixing it, the Mr. fix it guy stayed during the whole show holding a busted wire and securing it not to be stepped on by the event spectators. The catwalk show started with the kids cosplayers, A kid version of Flash, Varga, and Voltron. Everyone started to wow as they see the Voltron, most of the spectators are not familiar with the cosplay show, but they started to figure it out after seeing some anime characters. I think we got 5 cosplay batch and 4 modeling batch by Sugar Free and Blue.
And then in the end of the catwalk show, Sugar Free and Blue awarded some prizes for 3 lucky cosplay models for the "Sugar Free and Blue" top pics. Sugar Free and Blue is clothing designer and store located in SM Dept. Store in Sta.Mesa which also they have a booth in the Manila Toys and Gift Show.
At the xmas Toy Con, I rested for a few minutes and upload all photos, I think it took me 2 hours to recover from the production stuff and thanks to my team Alma and the Juujiro J Culture, RG, and the staff of Manila Toys and Gift Show. Last night TV Patrol aired some footages and gave a news about the cosplay catwalk show. Hope someone record it and uploaded in YouTube.
ok..I haven't bought any toys for day 2, major suckors for me, but its okay, I can still bid and grab cheap stuff at the live toy auction. And ohh I forgot Mark Cerbo will buy that Bumble Bee Classic for me later at Cholo's booth ahaahha. oi TFPH regalo ko!!!!!! ahhaha
