They are ready to become famous in the world of rock band and music
In the 2009 tag line and theme – Handa ka na ba sumikat?, Nescafe 3in1 Soundskool 2009 gave a big hit and opportunity to all amateur and college bands to break in to the rock music industry and not only in the music scene, but to have also a recording deal and album and a brand that they will endorse automatically if they win in the battle of the college bands. Few days ago, I was in Boracay for 5 days to witness and cover the band and music workshop conducted by rockstars like 6cyclemind, Pupil, Sandwich, Letter Day Story, a lecture of Darwin Hernandez of Soup Entertainment about band-manager relatioship and also a lecture by Vic Valenciano of Sony Music Philippines about how does the music industry and business goes.
Been dreaming of becoming a rockstar and these kids who joined the contest were so lucky to be included in the magic 13, they got a free trip to Boracay to attend the workshop for 5 days and learn more on how they can enhance their performance on stage and also the art of making their music more clean and perfect. Everyone were there are smiling and so excited on the next activity, they became friends so fast and think of having a 5 day class and everyone loves to jam with one another. Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and GMA finalist merge together in one conference room to open their mind and senses as art of music and performing lessons will add to their talent and skills. According to Ms. Eileen Rose Bangcoro (Nescafe marketing promotions and events executive), the event is getting bigger and bigger and they are putting a lot of effort in communicating to the youth and because that the youth is more present in the digital world, they used the internet to engage more with the youths to participate by logging to their website to enter the contest and vote for them. Next year will be more bigger and bolder, the youths are very active and dynamic and we should change our phase and way on how we can communicate to them, even the TVC with the “Kahit sino mix mo” theme is aim to talk to the youth. The digital media help a lot, the competition info just spread only in the internet and they didn’t use more of the tv and radio media. The viral videos in Youtube help a lot also. I asked her about making more music and band conference and she just shared that they had one last year like a summer camp with different colleges and universities that has workshop for those who want to enhance their music creativity. This year they are thinking more and let’s just wait for more surprises next year. And they stick onto the music event because they believe that music is the universal language to communicate and its much more easier to catch and more enjoyable and it is effective to give the message, so that’s Nescafe 3in1 Soundskool.
