I went to Saguijo in Makati City at around 10pm and I got late as usual and came from a long trip going to Tarlac and Cavite.I got in time for the 2nd or maybe 3rd band that was performing and before I entered the gate I was greeting by Maan and Marilet and later on Paul of the BagongBotante.ph team and met another guy who will help us around in organizing a big concert soon. Then saw Beng and company of DRIP and it was ages the last time we saw each other and got a tip from them that they will release 3 music videos on January 29 at 9pm in The Gallery, Greenbelt 5.
I went inside the bar, and Paul got some beers for me, there I saw Noelledeg sitting near the bar and approach her and asking if she got there on time, and then she told me that she's the emcee of the night, oh wow! then after taking some photos of the band performing, my lens just caught Drip, Techyromantics and December Avenue performing live. I just can't tell if this is my 2nd time to see Techyromantics to perform, and December Avenue is good ha!, but lahat naman ok and like the arrangements of these indie bands. And for DRIP.. im a fanboy for life since they performed for ToyCon 2003.
Gay Cabalo of Smartmatic was there again and instead of setting up a guitar or a drum set, she set's up the PCOS machine or normally called the automated voting machine, she did a demo as usual and asked someone from the audience to participate to try and insert the modern ballot into the machine and explains how easy it is to use these modern voting machines and ballot. The event is a success even though that some youngsters doesn't like listening to the demo and lecture and want to stay outside chikkahan with their friends or barkada, or maybe they just was there to meet or have fun and not aware of the voter's education night. It was still a success and thanks to the BagongBotante.ph team, Saguijo, the indie bands and the gig visitors for coming and joined a rock and roll voters education. Hope to see more of this gig in the coming weeks
