This is one hot news and everyone were there to witness the contract signing and partnership of Sony Philippines with our champ Manny Pacquiao as the ambassador for the Sony 3D Entertainment inline with the release of the Sony 3D TV, NEX-5 camera, Bluray players and Playstation 3. All of these entertainment and digital imaging devices can now perform with the Sony 3D TV and it will give you a 3D experience with the help of the 3D glasses. The people's champ in boxing and also a public servant for Saranggani Province, Congressman Manny Pacquiao was happy to experience the Sony 3D TV for the first time at the press launch and he even smiled more when he was awarded with a Sony 3D TV and Bluray player, he catches a question and said if that the same tv comes with the glasses, and when the Sony Philippines people answered a big yes, Cong. Pacquiao was surprised again (eyes closed and shaky head) and learn that he is the 1st person in the Philippines to own a Sony 3D TV.
The partnership of both parties is about the local promotion of the Sony 3D experience and this is just a start. There are plans on how they will deliver more different platforms in introducing the 3D technology in Sony. Sports, movies and gaming is one of the 1st target and its kinda sad to hear that the upcoming boxing match of Cong. Pacquiao will not be available yet for 3D if it will air live in the next few months. Mr. Takao Kuroda, President and Managing Director, Sony Philippines, gave a little teaser in the first minute of the press con before Cong. Pacquiao comes out, giving clues on who is this guy with the biggest name in boxing and consider Cong. Pacquiao as a great HERO and a man whose personal achievements have given his countrymen a shared experience of national glory and being a true symbol of power and triumph make him the perfect ambassador in the campaign to bring the sensational experience of the Sony 3D World to the Philippines.
I just can't believe that I met the champ two times already this week and getting to know him from my interview with him last month, and here I give them a two thumbs up for choosing the right person to promote the 3D revolution of Sony.
