I've seen this new Philips Cinema 21:9 HD TV's performance and it gives a feel that you have your own cinema or movie theater at home and with the long LCD screen and frame can turn your living room into a personal theater. It was a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound speaker system that works even you seat in different position and get a balanced sounds to your ear. (more below) The Philips Cinema 21:9's movie format aspect ratio will guarantee that picture are shown in their original movie format and it eliminates the black letter boxes that is flashed on the screen. It prevens distortions, cropping of frames and it gives fine images. I've seen the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen movie in Bluray dvd format and it was awesome to see it played with a Philips Cinema 21:9, I was glued into my seat when I saw it in a demo inside a store.
On top of the aspect ratio, the Philips Cinema 21:9 has even outdone traditional two-dimensional theaters in terms of picture quality. The 56-inch Cinema 21:9’s standard, cinema, vivid or personal settings lets viewers watch movies in full detail according to the style or effect of their choice. Action packed sequences run smoothly – without dizzying jerks or juddering.
The Cinema 21:9’s 2560 x 1080 progressive (p) panel resolution also renders pictures with a three-dimensional effect. This high definition LCD gives viewers a sensation that pictures are “popping-out” from the screen or being “drawn into” the image. Philips Cinema 21:9 is enhanced with the Ambilight Spectra 3. This patented backlighting system emits glows of light onto the surface or surrounding area of the Cinema 21:9. This cascade of color and light expands the already wide screen of the LCD TV.
