I don’t know what happened to Season 2, I missed it and I didn’t know who
won, I think a google-fu will help me later to go back to the past moment of Season 2.
But I’ll leave the past and go forward to present and then watch tonight the
brand new season premiere of The Voice, they are on season 3 and this show gets
the nod in the ‘Outstanding Reality Competition Program’ category, the only
music reality show nominated in that category that beats the American
Idol.
The judges sitting on the big red chair facing the audience and be
blinded again by powerful talents is back for Season 3. The Voice judges - Adam
Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green and also The Voice
host -Carson Daly, all of them will rock the whole season once more, this is
also a big hit for Adam and Christina as they created a new trend in music
collaboration and live performance with mainstream artist and The Voice
participants in previous seasons, the show is pack with lots of surprises and also brings a new
breed of musicians and singers.
There are some new changes and also
added tweaks for Season 3. Contestant auditions were lessen and this is a good
idea so that judging and selecting contestants will be easy with focus and much
wiser for judgment for the viewers and also for The Voice coach/judges. Think
of a high caliber contestant battling out with another high caliber participant,
its five star singer vs. five star singer. I’m sure with this new tweaks,
judging will be hard to choose, but the best of the best will surely stand out.
Another added tweaks is that viewers will see the blind auditions, the spinning
red chair added to the battle grounds, not sure what it means but
we will find it out soon, but according to
Carson Daly, the host of the show, that the judges/coaches can pinch
evicted member from a rival team, ohh that’s interesting, the evicted enemy from
your enemy can be your friend.
The new season will let us see for the
first time some other Grammy award winning artist as mentors for the show,
Michael Buble with Blake Shelton, Matchbox Twenty’s frontman Rob Thomaswith Cee
Lo Green, R&B singer Mary J. Blige to Adam Levine’s team, and Green Day’s
singer/songwriter Billie Joe Armstrong to Christina Aguilera’s Team
Xtina.
Are you excited?
