I remember the old Sanrio mania back in the 90's, and It was organized in a SM mall, I just can't tell if my memory is correct that the Gift Gate big event like a Sanrio land was organized in SM Megamall or in SM City North EDSA. That was the best Sanrio event ever in Manila and it was never been continued after Gift Gate store went slow in putting up more stores but instead, Sanrio store was put up in some malls. I'm glad that the Sanrio mania is back and bringing here Hello Kitty, seeing giant dolls and set up for the 1st time bring back great memories when I was in high school. Kids and teens wow themselves as they go "kawaii" or cute having a photo op with giant dolls of Hello Kitty. Its a global phenomenon for a white bobtail Japanese cat with red ribbon and now the kawaii mania goes strong here in the Philippines.Back in 2009, Hello Kitty went back here and did a short mall tour in SM MOA, you can check my coverage here for the Hello Kitty Christmas Surprise Show last 2009
Its a must visit if you are in SM City North EDSA, just proceed to The Block 2nd floor and 3rd floor for lots of Hello Kitty attractions. Go to Sky Garden for the Hello Kitty lanterns that light up the way at night and the Hello Kitty store set up.

1. Big dolls of Hello Kitty
One of the main highlights are the 5 foot Hello Kitty dolls displayed at The Block, they stand infront of their own Christmas village house and you'll see that each house has its own purpose, its like Hello Kitty loves house hopping, her living room is located in another house, the bed room, and the kitchen is in another house. I know that this is just an imaginary set up and it makes a cute combination that it pairs them to another doll, but sad to see that Dear Daniel lives alone.
2. Giant Hello Kitty doll in Christmas dress
The biggest doll of them all are displayed at the 3rd level of the Block, the giant Hello Kitty doll wearing her Christmas dress stand in the middle of the Hello Kitty Luxe collection. You can have a photo op with the giant doll, you can stand infront of even hug the doll for a nice lovable photo with Hello Kitty. I love to have a photo here instead of having a photo with the mascot, we know that Hello Kitty is cute and huggable in her doll form.

4. Christmas Village of Hello Kitty
The Christmas Village are mini house of the Hello Kitty dolls, they are part of the diorama of the village
, each house displays different kinds of Hello Kitty merchandise from toys, clothing, fixtures and furniture, they also have Hello Kitty design cakes and bread that are exclusively made by Bread Talk.
5. Exhibit area
The exhibit area is located at the 3rd floor of The Block, it houses the Luxe collection and also the giant
Hello Kitty doll.
6. Hello Kitty store at Sky Garden
You can shop all kinds of Hello Kitty items and merchandise from this newly set up Hello Kitty store, its a Sanrio store but it will be placed here for a month only at the Sky Garden.

8. Hello Kitty Bed room
The Hello Kitty bed room is one of the most wish make over for a kid and teen for their homes. The Hello Kitty bed room set up is located inside in one of the Hello Kitty Christmas Village house.

I went to the Hello Kitty Christmas Village for two times already and I observed that many Hello Kitty fans were there doing photo ops with the dolls, one of the most cute things that I saw is that all of them are wearing a Hello Kitty theme outfit.

I'm surprised that even the escalators around The Block are decorated with Hello Kitty artworks
11. Hello Kitty lanterns
These cute Hello Kitty lanterns are posted all over the Sky Garden, it lights up at night and give a cute mood to all mall goers.

It is one of the most visited section of the exhibit area at the 3rd floor of The Block. The Luxe collection and most collectible item of Hello Kitty are exhibited here, they are from different kinds of Hello Kitty collectors from all over the country.

20. Hello Kitty singing Christmas songs
I love to hear Hello Kitty and her friends singing the Christmas songs in Japanese, its so cute and the feel of the authentic nature of Hello Kitty as a Japanese character added more cutey feeling. I just hope that they can play in a projected screen some animated series of Hello Kitty, just to let others know that Hello Kitty can talk and interact in an animated series.
