I invited my wife to visit the
12th World Bazaar
Festival after our weekend date and I’m glad she agreed to check it
out since its on the way going to our ride in SM MOA, the bazaar that sells new,
unique and any kind of items for all ages is back again for its 12th year here
in
World Trade Center in Pasay City. It’s the longest bazaar
for the holidays that will be opened from
Dec 7-Dec 23, 2012
and gates open at 10 up to midnight. It’s like a tradition already for us pinoys
who love to shop items for us and also items as gifts for our loved ones this
Christmas. The World Bazaar organized by
Worldbex is the much
awaited shopping event every holiday season (and of course our event
7th
Philippine Toyfair is also a much awaited event for toy geeks hehhee
)

We
braved the traffic that Saturday and rode the taxi from Makati to World Trade
Center, I like to suggest that you visit the bazaar on a weekday and at around
10am, so that you won’t encounter the clogged alleys and crowded version of a
weekend shopping madness. But when we visited it last Saturday, that’s their 2nd
day of opening, I noticed that the flow of people is not yet on its full blast.
I’ve encounter before how crowded the World Bazaar and its hard to move and even
shop, that’s why I advice my blog readers here to check the bazaar while its
freshly opened. I’m sure the holiday rush hour will start this weekend, as
Christmas breaks and vacations will start early to some people and it’s the last
2 weekends for you to shop around and buy gifts for yourself and to your loved
ones.
My agenda that day is to check out the gadgets, toys, shirts and
other novelty items. You know me as a novelty collector and also I love gadgets
and toys for me and for my son, Ashton. My wife checks out some shirts that she
love, but then she mentioned that its much more cheaper to buy some in St.
Francis Sq. I laughed at it and told her that some of the shirts and clothes
sold here are new and into follows the trend today. She bought some of those
accessories for fashion, and then we bought a toy for Ashton, our agenda is to
check the stores and items sold inside, but we’re not fully prepared for a
massive shopping day,but we will next time, and maybe next week, I need to focus
first in my job and my events.
For toys, there are some booths that sells
authentic branded toys, other booths sells the ones I saw in local tiangge and
maybe some of it came from Anding’s Toy Store in Tutuban mall ( we visited that
store last month for a tv taping with GMA News TV’s Pop Talk). There are some
interesting knocked off toys, like the LEGO-like blocks and figures that are
sold for only P35, the talking Tom Cat, Avengers biggie figures and Marvel
figures sold at P100 only, all are fakes but the quality are nice, I just hope
that there’s no harmful chemicals used in making these toys, but I don’t
recommend you buy it, just go for the original. There are lots of Hot Wheels toy
car sold here, priced at P70 to P150, I didn’t bought one because in our event
this Friday, we have the 2nd Philippine Die cast car and custom car show, and we
have lots of toys sold here in our event.
For novelty items, I’m so
curious about that Magic Wallet, water powered alarm clocks, DIY wall clocks,
diorama Papelmerotti style clocks, iPhone lens, and many more.
Also, the
food are is now located to a different location, the other side of the hall
houses all food and beverage booth. This is a good decision from Worldbex to
place the food booths away from the exhibitors booth. It’s a small space and
sometimes its crowded with eaters.
The entertainment stage is much more
bigger this year, and the ABS CBN celebrity booths are near the stage and lots
of them are selling their own used shoes and clothes. Ohhh I want to own one
clothes from Toni Gonzaga, I want to buy, but I want her to be there and buy the
dress from her. (wish ko lang hahaha)
here are some photos taken from my
iPhone 4s ( other stores don’t allow photos that’s why I didn’t use my Dslr)
