I’m
so happy that this is my 2nd year to join a German orig Oktoberfest celebration
here in Manila, here we toast a pint of beer and open the start of beer drink
fest. This 2014, marks the 76th anniversary of Oktoberfest here in Manila,
The
Oktoberfest is usually celebrated in Munich, Bavaria, Germany since 1810, and
it’s a part of the Bavarian culture, but there’s no need to go to Germany just
to experience an authentic Oktoberfest celebration.
Here in the Philippines, we
have the celebration and party and marking its 76th celebration here in Manila,
yeah it started on 1906 herein Manila and we have to thank the German Club
Manila for bringing the beer fest and friendly cheers here in our country.
but wait..the photo above – me and the bloggers are not the official
ribbon cutter
hahha!

Here’s
the official people that opened the Oktoberfest Manila, rep. from German Club
Manila and Sofitel Philippine Plaza.
This
October 17-18, 2014 at the
Sofitel Manila Harbor Garden Tent, the beer fest and music will take place once
again, for this year we will see the live performance of Bavarian bands, Lissie
the international acclaimed yodeller singer, bands performing with Alps Horn,
traditional fold dancers and many more. I was there last year’s 75th
Oktoberfest, I can say that its an awesome party to attend because of the over
flowing beer, sausages, pork knuckles, and soup. There’s also some games,
exhibits and beer merchandise as giveaways.
Last
Year, 4,000 guest went to the 2013 Oktoberfest here in Sofitel, everyone enjoyed
the 30,000 liters of beer, 1,00 kg of German Sausages, 300kgs of pork knuckles
and 250kgs of sauerkraut. All of it were consumed for two days.
