There are type of foodies, the other foodie is just eat everything on the table and doesn’t even to know the name of the food, and there’s another foodie who is an expert when it comes to food style and taste. I think I belong on the foodie who don’t care and just eat everything, because I love to eat even if its crunchy, soft or hard. But being a foodie will transform you to be choosy and want to eat the best of the best food served on the table and this will make you into a super foodie that knows everything like guessing the flavor and how it was cooked.
My next food trip is not just about the restaurant, it is also about the food they serve and golly, according to my Facebook friend who saw my Instagram photo of that Tenderloin steak said that it looks tasty and glorious. The look of the food and its taste now matters, I can tell if the food is not yummy, as we see how it was prepared and also how it was delivered on the table.
Here at Chops: Chicago Steakhouse, it’s a hidden restaurant in Makati City up above the top level of a mall, main offerings are steak, steak, steak and a nice happy hour that can start as early of 3pm-7pm. Chops is a new restaurant that we should try, because its new and opened last June 2012.

We have lots of steakhouse here in Manila, and they are very intimidating, because we know that steaks are very pricey, plus the venue is very “sosyal”, but here in Chops, they have a nice ambiance, interior and also a quiet place for you to eat and fulfill your foodie needs. According to Celina Le-Neindre, marking officer of Chops, many business people drop by here to eat their early breakfast and cap their day with an early happy hour.
I’m convinced to her story because the place is really a nice hideout if you want to have a date with your food.
Interiors and fixtures are its best, the lighting added more effect to a cozy and comfy feeling when you bite your first meat.
I took the foodie trip and here I am in Chops.
Celina showed to us the meat board, here she shows to us the different kind of cuts of steaks, they do this regularly to show which part of cut the customer wants and also she showed to us the Tomahawk meat slice, that can accommodate up to 6 person. It can be cooked to perfect tender within 45 minutes.

There’s also a private room for meetings and special function, and ohh that’s my weapon of choice in cutting my steak
They introduced to us their Php 888 Executive Lunch Meal. It’s the right price for an executive meal and you can get 4 kinds of food to power your day. The Wisconsin Tenderloin is already a winner and the Php 888 will throw you a nice food to keep you smiling til your bedtime.

It’s a perfect start of you want to eat a heavy meal
It’s a big size of a bun of a burger, I even joke that you can eat this with a bun and fake it as a burger with a giant patty. This is normally priced at P850 out of the executive lunch meal. The Promo P888 is offered every lunch time. The tenderloin is served in a wooden chopping board, yeah its my first time to eat in a chopping board.
Medium cook is the best cooking condition for the Tenderloin, because juices and taste stay here, but you can request to cook it well done if you want a roasted version of the tenderloin.

this choco dessert comes free with the lunch meal, its like a barquillos coated with dark chocolate with cream inside. Not too sweet or bitter, its just right

Chops is new discovery for me, this restaurant offer a nice meal with a reasonable price. I can tell that pricing is not a problem here because they can compete head to head to other steakhouse and the venue is not jampacked as always, customers go in and out as soon as they finish their meal, more rooms for you and for your tummy. The lunch meal is recommended if you want to at eat good for a whole day. I will visit this next time when I’m in Makati. I’ll bring my wife here for our next date. Yeah, its quite and comfy a perfect venue for dates.
