The typical pinoy breakfast every day sometimes - bread, coffee, or a heavy meal with garlic rice, bacons, eggs or just a regular pandesal or pancakes. For those who are on the healthy living lifestyle, they go for Quaker oats.
Im happy to learn that Quaker oats have developed a new super breakfast meal that we can prepare at home in just two minutes. Its a simple mix of food ingredients and some oats. Their new breakfast recipe -- OATSILOG is like our pinoy meal - Tapsilog or Tocislog, a mix or toppings of the heavy meal that can help us power our body for the entire day.
If you ask why Oatsilog?
If you add meaty ingredients and some Quaker oats for your breakfast, your meal is now packed with lots of nutrients. Quaker Oats contains fiber to help keep you full longer, protein to help give you energy, and beta-glucan to help lower cholesterol for your heart health.* With all these, Quaker Oats prove to be a healthy and equally delicious alternative to your go-to cup of white rice.
*Beta-Glucan is a soluble fiber that is naturally present in the Bran of Oats. Quaker whole grain oats are a source of Beta-Glucan which help reduce cholesterol. Amount recommended for cholesterol lowering effect is 3g/day. Beta-Glucan from oats can help reduce blood cholesterol levels if it is accompanied by a diet low in saturated fat and low cholesterol.
At the cooking demo event, I’ve learned the how-to’s the most easiest food recipe ever. Thanks to Quaker Oats for sharing this info and also to Ms. Xandra Rocha for the cooking demo.

Chicken and Mushroom Oatsilog
Cooking this in a heated pan is much more fast.
But if you are busy then you have to try cooking it in microwave. Here’s a special recipe created by Ms. Xandra, her own Oatsilog Patata. An Oatsilog version filled with bacons, strip potatoes and some spices.
Here’s my first ever trial in cooking the Chicken and mushroom oatsilog
I just mixed the ingredients, and then cooked it in a pan
And after 2-5 minutes, Im done!
It took me 5 minutes to finish because Im having trouble using that electric stove.
I tasted it and its good! I asked my blogger friend Jeman to taste it and he said that its good but I need to add more salt and pepper.
And then when I followed his advice, then my Oatsilog tasted even more better. Wow!
Visiting us at the cooking demo is Youtuber star Wil Dasovich
I also met celebrity mom Nicole Suarez and her daughter at the Quaker Oatsilog event
Wow! Medyo may pagka sosyal ito Quaker oats, but having an Oatsilog for breakfast is more healthy to us than being a sosyal hahah.
Thanks Quaker, I will definitely use this new learnings in my cooking journey.
