Me and Lace attended a round table talk, meeting and interview with Fernando Zobel de Ayala and Globe's Ferdinand Dela Cruz, the round table is for the Globe-Ayala Land City Run for Habitat for Humanity. Globe launches its first ever running event – RUN FOR HOME: Globe-Ayala Land City Run for Habitat for Humanity – that will support the development of a community especially for the settlers of Ilog Pasig.
The Run for home event will be on July 19, 2009 at the Bonifacio Global City. Participants can register at the site
www.globe.com.ph/runforhome or at participating Globe Business Centers and Fitness First branches in Metro Manila or at the satellite booth on the event itself. It has a courses for runners of all ages and levels of experience. There are four runs: the 3-kilometer, 5-kilometer, 10-kilometer and 21-kilometer runs.
Ferdinand Dela Cruz of Globe shared to us that The Run for home event also introduces to us the micro chip device that will be carried by the runner, so that every stats and points done by the runner will be recorded into the computer for better monitoring of each stats, also the even has a booth for bloggers and photographers in which they can upload and post their pics at the Pixlink's site or web blogs with the use of Globe Broadband Tattoo.
at the interview Mr. Zobel de Ayala told us that he will join the run for home event, and he also shared to us that they are working on with Globe for another event called the IRON MAN, another event that involves runners and sounds like more than a triathlon event. With the technology that is being developed and applied, the running sport is now being upgraded and well promoted by the use of the campaign for helping people build homes and this serve as an awareness for both sport and the cause. Its great to meet Mr. Zobel de Ayala as he said to Lace, "wow! you are introduced as a blogger!, that is awesome!" hahhaa because me and Lace were the only bloggers introduced at that time and most of the attendees are traditional medias.
Its a fun event meeting with great people that is helping our nation with these cool activities and events.
