Go on a trip to the south and from there you’ll be surprise to see a new hotel that rises in front of a mall, near the busy walkway and highway. I just discovered Crimson Hotel-Filinvest City Alabang and they just opened last December 2012. If there’s a hotel, there’s also a pool, a nice room, an artsy display of expensive crafts and set up and also restaurant. Crimson Hotel-Filinvest City Alabang is very proud to present to us their all day dining restaurant - Café Eight. The name or title of this restaurant is so familiar to me, and I don’t know if it is related to Café on the Sixth of another hotel. Café Eight’s classy logo and symbol will welcome and inform that your lunch or dinner is served!
The resto is located at the 8th floor of Crimson Hotel-Filinvest City Alabang, it is also the lobby, and the location of the function rooms, a way to the gym and pool.
Here’s my view facing the tables and chair, the buffet area is on my left and I’m impressed that they have a long table filled with lots of food.
The lighting set up gives more aesthetic beauty which is very relaxing and feel comfy

Salmon balls is a crowd favorite here. I tried this and its so yummy. Salmon meat are compressed inside and nicely deep fried to cook it like a meatballs.
Behind the Japanese food is the salad ingredients, you can customize your own salad style here
Its weird that I visited the desserts area first and not the main buffet
Their Panacota dessert is good, not that sweet and jelly-like form
more desserts…. here in Café Eight, their desserts are also the best.
Homemade cheese and sundried tomato ravioli
It’s the specialty here in Café Eight, the ravioli is a bit thin, but I’m glad that the tomatoey and cream is tasty, like hitting you in the face and realize that this is a ravioli.

It’s a heavy start but I prefer to skip eating some salad, I love meat and here at Crimson their specialty is Mediterranean cuisine, their Italian chef loves to prepare this here at Crimson.

After the lunch buffet, I started eating my dessert set and best to eat it with a hot brew coffee.
Lunch buffet is offered from 11am up to 2:30pm, if you’re planning to start a buffet invasion, I suggest that you start early, try to have a 30 minute tour around the hall, the lobby, by the pool and gym, inquire about the room rates and etc. And after the mini tour, sit down and relax and grab a food.
Crimson is new, and if you want to eat in a quiet and comfy area, then the Café Eight is the best for you, no long lines at the buffet, plus more resto staff to assist you and high ceiling to give you more space to breathe after biting those lamb chops, wheww!!

CALABARZON residents will just to bring their ID with the address just to prove that they live within the covered area. If you are from Manila, you can still eat there with discounts, all you need to do is invite a friend who lived within CALABARZON, just give them the cash to pay for it for the both of you, that’s the only way on how you can still score the discount even if you’re not from around the town.
