We
have a three hit combo feature for this day. First is about my 1st ever visit in
Four Seasons Hot Pot City restaurant in SM Mall of Asia, 2nd is the 25th
anniversary of Citi Credit Cards and also about their incentive to card holders,
3rd is the loyalty card launch of Vikings.
I’ve been promoting Four
Seasons Hot Pot City to my family ever since it opened its doors last summer of
2015, my word of mouth always mentions that the price is much lower than
Vikings and the shabu shabu or hot pot ingredients set up is buffet style aka
eat all you can. But my charm doesn’t work because they are not a fan of hot
pot..but I am a big fan because my dad take us to a shabu shabu place every
Sunday somewhere in Banawe back during the 90s. And I so miss the taste of a
nice hot pot soup.. perfect ito lalo na sa tag ulan.

Okay,
were done with the promotions..let me show you now my dining experience here at
Four Seasons Hot Pot City in SM MOA
Thanks
to the Four Seasons Hot Pot City team for touring us around the buffet
restaurant. Actually I was so clueless and got this fear that I might mix the
wrong ingredients. The tour and briefing were easy to understand, I m not a good
cook, but I know that when you boil a soup with ingredients, the meat comes
first and the veggies comes last to be boiled. The concept is much the same here
in Four Seasons Hot Pot City in SM MOA
Each
table is equipped with this special induction cooker. It’s a specialized cooker
on glass table and it only heats the metallic bowl on op of the stove. Induction
cooker are energy efficient and it transfers more heat to the metallic induction
casserole.
Don’t get scared for electrocution or transfer of heat to
your body, because the induction cooker connects to a specialized casserole that
accepts electric heat. Also the casserole doesn’t emit a lot of heat to the
holder, just be careful when opening it when the soup boils.
The
ingredients section were divided to three parts, there’s the dimsums, sausages
and the vegetarian balls for secton 1, then they have the all veggies,
appetizers and desserts on section 2, and final section is for the seafood,
Japanese and rice meal section.
Dining
are at Four Seasons Hot Pot City in SM MOA
I
love to stay at this side…. natural light comes in and its very inviting.
Choose
your own soup.
For me, I love the pork soup, because its most tastier than
the others.
Choose
your noodles – they have lots of kinds of noodles!! there’s carrot, pechay,
black noodles, mushroom noodles, egg noodles and etc.
Kinds
of meaty balls
More
balls.
If
you want to serve your soup with some slices of wagyu beef, then you can go here
to buy a set up high grade wagyu beef.
The sauce and condiments section. Four Seasons will let
you make your own sauce for your hot pot.
At the right, that’s a kind of cuttlefish noodle, you
need to squeeze that plastic and pour it into your noodle, its like adding icing
to your cake, but instead of icing, you are making your own noodles. I didn’t
tried it because my casserole is a bit small.
Lots of kinds of tofu and mushrooms.
Meat lovers and vegetarian sections are always open
The
most impressive section at Four Seasons is their market place style interiors.
Here we pick veggies that was placed in an organized kiosk.
Salad, Japanese sushi and desserts
There’s also an exotic or hard core section, here you can
see all kinds of innards and blood meat, there’s also a black chicken neck and
lungs of pigs. Some Asians like the Chinese,Taiwanese, and Koreans love these
kinds of internal parts of pig in their soup.
For us pinoys…we love the
goto!
Tempura section and the rice meal section
Sushi making area and seafood section
Salmons and seashells
sayang..di ko na try ito. I
should have a strategy on my next visit.
The beverage bar
btw, the beer in bottles are free
during dinner, but draft beers are free during lunch and dinner
Cucumber juice and a cute plate ware for
kids
Here’s the ingredients that was showed to us on the
table, we can pick anything we want…
(take note: a rep from Four Seasons
helped us in getting these ingredients)
MY HOT
POT EXPERIENCE
Here are my hot pot ingredients selections.
A must try
is that cheese roll thing, mushroom noodles, lobster balls and the chicken balls
--- yummy
My regular leafy veggies – petchay, baby corn, some
mushrooms, malunggay, and mustard leaf
I
ate some maki and sushi while waiting for the resto staff for my soup. I indulge
myself with my favorite kani and tamago. I also grabbed some fried rice and 5
pieces of tempura
the tempura in Vikings and Four Seasons are much the
same. I must not avoid it and make sure I took a bite to add some good flavor in
my mouth. Eating a tempura is like heaven.
The
resto staff pour some pork soup into my casserole.
I prefer pork soup
because its more tasty.
Jenny
and Ruth got pork soup too.
I
waited for the soup to boil over this induction cooker.
When
it boils, I added the meat balls, dimsums and other ingredients into the soup.
I
let it boil for around 3-4 minutes. The balls cooks fast under high heat of the
stove.
I
added the veggies into the soup and I just pressed them inside just to be cooked
properly. Boiling it in a hot pot is around 2 minutes.
Then
after 2 minutes… my own hot pot is ready!!!
Its good …and I love the aromatic
taste of my veggies and pork soup
Its so hot…and I finished 3 bowls of
it… I didn’t got a chance to finish all my noodles because its so heavy already
in my tummy.
Hot pot making is so much fun and I want to go back here
again just to show to my family the art of making hot pot.
Of
course, it’s a Viking resto family, I make sure I never miss their yummy frozen
yohgurt..
its always the best!! Im glad they include this in Four
Seasons.
Thanks
everyone for reading my blog post.
