Akrotiri
sounds like a new term or word, but after doing some research I learned that
Akrotiri is an ancient city and settlement in Santorini, Greece that was
destroyed during a volcanic eruption and the city is rich with artworks and
objects that shows the modern way of living of man. According to Wikipedia,
Akrotiri was the possible reference for Plato's story of Atlantis.
Akrotiri will be searched as part of history and geography, but here in the
Philippines, Akrotiri is a food destination and name of a restaurant that offers modern Eurasian
cuisine. Akrotiri restaurant opened few weeks ago in Commerce Center in
Filinvest City, Alabang.
Akrotiri restaurant and also bar offers Mediterranean cuisines, Greek and
European influences cuisines that are prepared to fit for the Asian market, so
expect a fusion of European and Asian menu at Akrotiri.

MODERN EURASIAN CUISINE
Akrotiri is located at the ground level of
Commerce Center in Alabang. If you are looking for restaurant that serves a
much rich of flavor and spice, then you have to visit Akrotiri to try the
Eurasian flavors.
Akrotiri is also a bar, they also serve famous and traditional cocktails and
drinks. After my visit there at Akrotiri, I got the interest to visit their bar,
but I do heard that Akrotiri specialty is much more on seafood and wagyu
beef.

During
the opening day of Akrotiri restaurant, I was surprised that former model
Alexandra Nicole is married to Mr. Dimitris Karatza, that means that Alexandra
Nicole is also a part owner of the restaurant.
A
photographer captured my talk with Alexandra Nicole, I was figuring out when and
where we meet, she remembered me but it took me 2 days to figured out that we
met in Toycon 2012 and she was one of our guest model in cosplay guest.
Medyo dyahe at hindi ko sya naalala. but when I saw her, it gave me a
big hunch that we met before. Congrats Alexandra Nicole for the opening of your
restaurant!
At
the VIP bloggers night at Akrotiri - we experienced the good food, drinks and
also fun with co-bloggers. If you are looking for a party venue or a cocktail
night event, then you have to check out Akrotiri as they can host one of your
private parties.

menu as created by Italian Chef Luca Maffei, and at the restaurant,Head Chef
Ereyca Trinidad manages all the creation of food based on the menu and also
fusing some pinoy flavors to the Greek and European cuisines.
There's a
lot of food on their menu and I think Akrotiri can expand more in the future and
they might offer more authentic or fusion food based on Asian, Greek and
European.

AFTERMATH
My
face after drinking at Akrotiri, I didn't expected that I will enjoy their
drinks. I didn't ate too many meat that night, but Im more interested on their
seafood menu. The one that are close to my heart are the risotto squid ink,
thats the flavor that I prefer, so fresh and creamy, I also got to try their
grilled prawns, squid and salmon, they are good and taste so fresh. I also got
a chance to try the wagyu beef, its so good especially when its fresh from the
kitchen. There are too many food to try at Akrotiri, but seafood was the one
that captured my heart.
