I was out of the country when the 12th Toycon Philippines 2013 ingress started, thanks to my sis and fellow Toycon organizers for uploading the photos of the ingress session. I was at the hotel in Hong Kong trying to finalize the media list and also guest for the event, I got no laptop on hand and I just rely on using my iPhone 4s in doing the job, and thanks again to my sis for helping me compile all the guest names and sent it to Kath of Anime Alliance Philippines. Day zero occurred last June 13, 2013.
The day zero tradition continues and its still considered as Toycon event, because many people tried to go here to take a peak and also check out the booth set up. Our exhibitors are there to set up their merchandising booths, sponsors and partners are busy rising up their own gimmicks and also the toy groups are also busy finalizing the last detail of their toy exhibit. The event will be opened the next day and it’s the retailer’s day and toy market for day 1. An exclusive day for all buyers and sellers to have an event for just one day minus the attractions, side shows and stage events.
I’m posting this to documented everything.even if I’m away that time.
check out some pics below from day zero.
Megatrade Hall 1-3 is in set up mode last Thursday
During the ingress…you can already see some part of the exhibit, but incomplete.
V for Vendetta mask
My 1st time to see a different life size statue, but this one is made from pure clothing, a mannequin and a nice head sculpt of Alex Ross Superman and Batman. There’s also Christopher Reeve superman head sculpt.
Incomplete set up for a Star Wars diorama
Day zero is the only day that you can see everything…with no visitors around. Sometimes I buy toys here early ahhahaha.
